Bottled, pasteurised;
Its rich amber colour and superb fruity aromas are complemented by a delicious blend of malty yastes. Toffee and malt combine with bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a balanced sweetness. This is followed by a refreshingly dry finish.

Slight malty smell. Rusty red colour. Small yellow-ish head. Rubbery aroma to start with. Also some sugar and candy to be noticed. Generally not very pleasant.

England is not known for its food, so the beer doesnt follow well either. Its light and crispness is like a standard red-ale, but a little smoother. The low alcohol reminds you of near-beer in Oklahoma.

One of my favorites, rich body and smooth. Great beer to just chill with but has some flavor. I recommend at least a try, worth the time ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml Bottle. Clear bronze liquid with a few light greyish bubbles on top. Malty nose which translates to malty bitters and a mild toffee on the tongue. Medium-dry finish but its not at all rounded and its a bit lacking in most areas.

Thin weak brown sugar aroma. Not a bad session beer. Could use a touch more malts.

Vriltn kuparia muistuttava Old Speckled Hen muodostaa valkoisen vaahdon. Sen tuoksussa on toffeeta, hedelmisyytt ja yrttist humalointia. Maultaan olut on miedompi, mutta siit lydn ainakin ripauksen toffeeta ja humalakatkeroa. Olut kuivaa suuta katkeran tunteen jlkeen. Helposti juotava, mutta samalla hieman vetinen olut. Lontoon reissujen perusteella muistelin tmn olleen ehk hieman parempaa.

was poured into a pint glass from a nitro-tap. Amber colored that took a little bit to settle with a defined and creamy head balanced with aromas of caramel, toffee, and creams. Not overly complex, but it certainly works well very creamy and smooth feel. The feel is the real star of the beer along with toffee and cream flavors a quality session beer. Its not the most amazing beer in the world, but hits the spot when wanting something with lower alcohol

AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 22, 2011
This brew pours up a dark amber (maybe even copper) colored body with a foamy near-tan colored head which dissipates down to a thin foamy head that leaves suitable lacing on the glass for quite some time. Scents full of caramel and butterscotch along with some bread/biscuits here and there. Flavors of melted caramel and warm butterscotch pudding along with the rich malts and a touch of hops keeps all the flavors in balance without being overly hoppy or overly sweet.
