Bottled, pasteurised;
It’s rich amber colour and superb fruity aromas are complemented by a delicious blend of malty yastes. Toffee and malt combine with bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a balanced sweetness. This is followed by a refreshingly dry finish.

Nice caramel color, taste is smooth but kind of skunky. Taste gets better after beer has been sitting out for a while and half way in to the bottle. Overall its a decent beer. I wouldnt mind having it again but it would not be my first choice.

Caramel colour with a small white head. Mild caramel nose. Moderate sweet caramel flavour and a light bitterness.

Pale brown, golden, color. Toffee in the taste along with other sweetish malty notes. Moderate bitterness.

Psytron (2563) - Turku, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2012
Slight malty smell. Rusty red colour. Small yellow-ish head. Rubbery aroma to start with. Also some sugar and candy to be noticed. Generally not very pleasant.

England is not known for its food, so the beer doesn’t follow well either. It’s light and crispness is like a standard red-ale, but a little smoother. The low alcohol reminds you of near-beer in Oklahoma.

One of my favorites, rich body and smooth. Great beer to just chill with but has some flavor. I recommend at least a try, worth the time ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml Bottle. Clear bronze liquid with a few light greyish bubbles on top. Malty nose which translates to malty bitters and a mild toffee on the tongue. Medium-dry finish but it’s not at all rounded and it’s a bit lacking in most areas.

weitz15 (622) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Thin weak brown sugar aroma. Not a bad session beer. Could use a touch more malts.

BeerBaboon (2144) - FINLAND - NOV 22, 2011
Väriltän kuparia muistuttava Old Speckled Hen muodostaa valkoisen vaahdon.

was poured into a pint glass from a nitro-tap. Amber colored that took a little bit to settle with a defined and creamy head balanced with aromas of caramel, toffee, and creams. Not overly complex, but it certainly works well very creamy and smooth feel. The feel is the real star of the beer along with toffee and cream flavors a quality session beer. It’s not the most amazing beer in the world, but hits the spot when wanting something with lower alcohol
