Little head, lasting, copper. Malty nose with dry apricot, and light pear. Medium body and some length. A little sweetnes with apricot, pear and some maltines. Still my favourite commercial beer.!

Pours clear amber from the bottle. The head is short, creamy, and soon fades to a thin layer that lingers. Aroma is caramel, but with hints of alcohol. The beers strength is the taste which is bittersweet with elements of toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, and a light fruity tang. Promising, but the effect remains underwhelming given the body which remains lighter than I would have liked. Finish turns grainy and metallic. Okayish. I liked it more on tap.

Fles gedeeld door Benzai, geprobeerd met Niels. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een lekkere kruidige smaak.

Not a great one, but passable. Smells like caramel and tastes like it too. Bottle into a Spencer Abbey goblet, no head and a brown/orange color. Unremarkable mouthfeel and flavor, malty, tastes a bit like tea leaves, ever so slightly bitter. Pretty sure I would actually like the nitro version as it is rather inoffensive out of the bottle.

This is pricey and is not worth the cost. It was very caramely and reminded me of a Scottish ale for some reason but not nearly as good.

Bottle. Light reddish brown. Small head, no lacing. Aroma: hoppy, lemons, toffee. As it gets warmer theres also a slight hint of butter which surprisingly doesnt bother me at all. Taste is also lemons, toffee, malty, nutty, fruity, caramell and biscuits. Very balanced. Good carbonation and a bitter finish. Well I just like these british ales and from personal experience I can attest this is very sessionable...

crystal clear amber coloue, moderate sized creamy beige-ish off-white head; aroma of fruits, cream fudge, floral notes and some walnut; taste is the same with less intensiveness and perfectness - anyway, its a good bitter
