This classic english pale ale is a good example of a well sessionable ale. Slightly on the sweet side this beer has a great up-front aroma and is very satisfying in the mouth. An easy beer to drink for all occasions. Pairs well with almost any hearty food and can be enjoyed just as well on its own. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml can at a BA flight (M&S menu). Decent beer, smooth and slightly creamy. Flavour is not its strength, but it is drinkable.

Nice looking mahogany colored beer with a thin foamy light tan head of varying sized bubbles that leaves little lace. Fairly faint nose of almonds, caramel, and lightly toasted bread. Flavor follows the aroma with a little less nuttiness and more of the doughiness finished with a rather musky bitterness that lingers. Decent bitter.

0.5l bottle. Pours amber with medium carbonation. Syrupy caramel taste. Slightly better than average but not by a high margin.

440 ml can at the house. Creamy off white head. Creamy from the nitro. Deeper copper in color. A little bitter on the palate but smooth. Deep grains in flavor and overall a very delightful and drinkable beer!

Old review before making ratebeer account. Incredibly average. Not much to say.

It has a pleasant syrup aroma, but the texture is too light and watery for me. The color is nice amber-like. The aftertaste is bitter, but at first it is a light sweetness you can feel. Drinkable, but I cant really recommend it.

Pours clear amber colored with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel and some spices. Taste has lots of caramel and some floral hops. Nothing special, but a solid ESB...

A standard English best bitter. Flavour, mouthfeel and you can taste the alochol. It made for a very pleasant pint.

Pours clear amber from the bottle. The head is short, creamy, and soon fades to a thin layer that lingers. Aroma is caramel, but with hints of alcohol. The beers strength is the taste which is bittersweet with elements of toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, and a light fruity tang. Promising, but the effect remains underwhelming given the body which remains lighter than I would have liked. Finish turns grainy and metallic. Okayish. I liked it more on tap.
