A hopped up Kölsch is a bit of a waste of even making a delicate, yeast driven and mildly nuanced German beer if hops are going to shroud those characters that make a good Kölsch. Well here goes, biased aside. Into a stange, chilled. Hazy, pastel, sandy yellow, almost still, with a short, tight white crown that leaves minimal lace. Nose hints at ripe, sweet melon, banana, Belgian rock candi, and ground palest barley and wheat. On the palate it has a bitter, dry edge; woody and spicy like sucking on a toothpick, but finishes oddly lactic and clammy. Very light and dusty on the palate. Palest grain comes through but like the nose seems powdery, pasty. Carbonation is low to spritzy upfront, falling flat towards the tonsils. The bitterness seems the highlight, yet even that lacks definition. I wanted this to be a winner, but......, just does nothing for me. 330ml can (Dan Murphys). Clear straw yellow appearance with a large white head that reduces quickly. The dominate aroma is lemon citrus, some malt grains and spiciness. Palate is easy drinking, crisp and refreshing with a light-medium body and a lemony citrus hop finish. It’s got a hint of pilsner-like spiciness and dryness that satisfies. Nice one. gafferpom (39) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2017
Nah, not for me. Just seems a bit watery no real bite. Might work if it was in an IPA or pale? Just missing that ooomph factor

Can - pours hazy pale yellow with a frothy head. Aroma is soap, lemon and spice. Taste is dry with the lemon citrus and pepper across the taste. StevieT (2015) - AUSTRALIA - APR 28, 2017
From a can. The yeast flavour is a bit spicy with a touch of fruity ester, hoppier than expected, a good drop.

330ml can into glass. Aroma of sweet dough, spice and a little fruit. Excellent. Pale yellow beer with a thin clingy head. Low carbonation. Grainy taste, bitter fruity finish. Long lingering fruity bitterness at the end. Unusual Kölsch but a nice beer in it’s own right. bmeup (679) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - FEB 28, 2017
Can DM’s. Slightly hazy yellow, decent white head and quite effervescent. Wheaty malts, lemon zest and grassy. Slightly tart though a very nice summer seasonal German Style with a nice Sorachi twist, easy drinking good beer. danjs5 (254) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 2, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2017 Nose of stale grass and feint citris. Cloudy straw colour with small diminishing head. Full lemony fizzy taste. Sour peppery profile too. This is a subtle almost Gose like. Great style. O.K. Not a bold flavour. madquacker (1162) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - MAY 21, 2016
Straw with low carbonation and a very flat head. Astringent and tarty. Some lemon zest. Refreshing indeed. mcberko (18390) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 17, 2016
On tap at Mrs Parma, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and a little cereal notes. Flavour is fairly bland, with cereal notes and dry biscuity malt. Fairly clean but boring. Meh.
