tderoeck (10195) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 1, 2010
on tap - 01/08/2010 @ De Heeren van Liedekercke

Pours a cloudy dark golden yellow beer with fine adhesive white head. Smell is that of wheatbeer, a little musty, some fruitiness. Taste is honey at first followed by a specific fruitiness of little red berries and goose berries. Mouthfeeling is a little flat and watery. Aftertaste is a little bitter with some sourness to it.

7th March 2010. Hazy pale gold beer with a little soft white head that tastes liek cream soda. Lovely nose of pineapple cube sweets and mango. Light semi dry palate. Soft fruity beer with pineapple and mango following through from nose to taste. Some vanilla cream as well. Memorable and unusual beer.

Sampled at WSF, listed as "Witte Lambik." Big head, pale, cloudy. Flower, cotton candy, banana, licorice. Light bodied, banana, very much like a hefe (go figure—I didn’t realize this was *actually* a wit), with not as much spice. Very wheaty.

Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - JUN 18, 2010
A little hazy yellow colored beer with a thick white head. The aroma is very fruity, apricot, citrus and banana. Sweet. The taste is fresh, sparkling and fruity. A nice summerbeer on a hot day. The aftertaste moves from sweet to a little bitter, with hints of sour.

Tranquillity (2508) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2010
On tap at Mort Subite in Brussels spring 2010. Hazy yellow body, small white head. Fruity aroma, with peach and some wood. Taste fruity but bitter, not very sour at all despite the name (Witte Lambic). Not my favourite.

ogivlado (8108) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 15, 2009
On tap at La Mort Subite, Bruxelles. Hazy yellow coloured, small white head that went away slowly, citric nose. Acidic fruity, wheaty and mild spicy with light sweetness in the background. Quite dry finish, nothing special but refreshing.

gyllenbock (9852) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 28, 2009
On tap at Mort Subite, Brussels in October 2009. Cloudy yellowish color, the foam was not that large. Dominant in both the aroma and taste was banana, vanilla and some cherry and detergent. Easy to drink, no bitterness, no acidity, not much aftertaste still rather good.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 [9/6/09] Draught sample during a festival at De Heeren van Liedekercke in Denderleeuw. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander and citrus peels. Sweet-spicy flavor with some light sourness, wheat, fruits, sugar and spices. Light-bodied. Not great.

Interesting concept, a white beer made with lambic. It’s something you have to try once in your life, but it’s not all that special neither.
