JoeM500 (1909) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - OCT 21, 2002
1999 VERSION. A nice older bottle proved to be much tastier. Big cherry colored head with a sour and moldy nose. A bit more complex than Lindemans which is welcomed.

Bottled. Clear red. Winegum aroma. Very sweet, big black currant sorbet flavour. Tasty, at least if judged as an alco-pop.

Very good aroma, blueberries. Fruity taste, lots of blueberries, sour, not too sweet.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2003 Excellent aroma, promises many things. Initial taste is a little thin, but the more you have the greater the flavour. It's a strawberry, vodka and tonic water taste (otherwise known as blueberries). Very Tart. Extremely refreshing. Not a 'get pissed quick drink', rather a banana lounger on a Queenslander balcony. Clean aftertaste and excellent plaque and tartar remover. Have some today. Had some more again and it's still bloody marvelous.

3.6
Ernest (7814) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 18, 2002
Head is initially large, frothy, pink, mostly lasting. Body is dark orange-purple, moderate density of tiny particles. Aroma is lightly malty (light bread), with notes of cassis, blueberries, and licorice. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Nicely balanced for a fruit lambic.

3.4
BeerLimey (2155) - California, USA - SEP 16, 2002
Light pinkish color, well carbonated, moderate foam. Woody berry aroma, light sourness. Sweet blackcurrant flavor but restrained with a balanced tartness. A little sour and puckering in the finish. Not too sweet, shows the lambic qualities in addition to the fruit.

3.3
aracauna (3674) - Georgia, USA - SEP 6, 2002
Rich tangy currant aroma, slightly champagne-like. Reddish brown with stiff thick head. Flavor and mouthfeel are drier than Lindeman's fruit lambics. You can also taste more of the beer than just the fruit. Closer to the taste of the taste of a gueze than Lindeman's as well with the sourness.

3.2
duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2002
RE-Rate: well, it is quite sweet, but manages to keep a slight tart edge, and a dry-ish finish, but very 'ish'. I don't mind this stuff to tell you the truth, a little bit artificial, but OK, tastes like very good Ribena.

3.2
Linc (740) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2002
Amber/pink, decent amount of froth and bubble. Sweet blackcurrant aroma, a little over done. Likewise the taste, too sweet and fruity, not very sour or crisp. Not that I found it offensive, just not adult enough for my palate ;-p

3.7
dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2002
Again, mort subite/Belle Vue thinness in body. Lacking in complexity but choice of fruit makes this interesting.
