Bottle. Unclear / hazy light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate acidic / sour, wheat. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a average to long duration. Very nice and has a good balance. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat to soft. (020907)

25 cL bottle at Ølbaren, comes as Original Gueuze. Pours clear and golden orange with a collapsing white head. Dry wheaty and acidic aroma. Flavour is sweet and light acidic. Light acidic bite in the finish. Remains (too) sweet throughout the finish.

An orange beer with a fine head. The aroma is sour from the wild fermentation with notes of metal. The flavor is lovely sour from the wild fermentation - that draws out the mouthwater. It has a good balance, though the body is a little thin.

Orange colour with a lacing white head. Aroma of apples, wood and a bit vinegar. Sweet flavour of apples with notes of wood and cherries. Good thirst quencher.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sugary, but at the same time extremely sour and dryish. Flavour is wood, sugar, sour fruit, some barnyard and yeast. A bit too sweet for my taste, but otherwise very nice.

A cheeky rate from a mid 1980s 750! Clear amber beer, no head. Light malts. Good tangy orange and lemon. Trace of sherry. Tangy marmalade. Smooth finish. Clearly super aged but quite amusing. Guess I'd better try a fresh one.

Straw colored with haze, white head. Musty aroma. Sweet taste, but background of dusty blanket. Drinkable.

Bottled )as Mort Subite Original Gueuze), thanks oh6gdx! Clear deep glden, fair sized head. Lightly tart aroma of spider webs and hay. Fairly sweet with clean, spritzy roundd mouthfeel and light body. Light refreshing citric tartness makes ita worthwile drink but it’s still lightyears away from the complexity of the real stuff.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2005
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2007 (Bottle 25 cl) Amber coloured and presumably clear and filtered. Tall, creamy head. This is a commercial, sweetened gueuze - but not bad as such. Nutty aroma, nutty flavours. Start sweetish but is well balanced by the acidity from the lambic. 100299

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch säuerlich, Citrus, Äpfel. Geschmack sauer nach Äpfel, Citrus, fruchtig malzig.
