Bottle. Cherry aroma. Moderate carbonation. Leaves taste of dark cherries. Rapidly loses head.

Bottle 25 cl from La Maladière Center in Neuchâtel (CH). Pink-red color supported, pale pink foam. Aromas of raspberry, slightly tart, a little candy flavor artificial, woody nuance and lambic. We taste with relish this kriek subtle, well-balanced, fresh, with touches of vanilla, roundness, but rather short.

The bottle looks very complex. The beer in the glass quite zippy, light red. Starts very mild, modest fruity like cherry, also quite sweet which becomes stronger in the finish. Still very mild, almost a bit washy. Not my favourite.

amber with a large slightly pink white foamy head. vinuous smell with cherries, sugar syrup a bit of pear. delicately sour, sparkling wine taste, lightly sweet, the undertone is earthy and yeasty, tartness really sets tastebuds on edge. the head is thick and full feeling itself, full body. i think the bottles of this have sat around for years on the LCBO shelves, this is great.

375ml, in a pint glass. Pours red/burgundy (well... pale burgundy). Quite fizzy, head is light, unequal, and not really persistent., but a nice lace remains until the end. Pretty much opaque. AROMA : Obviously, cherry. Really close to wine - stronger alcohol smell than expected (due to ABV). Basically no trace of hops. Basically no bitterness, finish pretty abrupt.

A: Pours a nice light rose color with a thin fizzy head. No retention and no lace. S: Very floral perfume like with hints of sweet cherry juice. T: Lots of sweet cherry with hints of citrus and candied sugar. M: Rather light in body, would go as far to call it thin. Very fizzy. D: It’s not bad, your middle of the road kriek.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2010 bottle. drank out of tulip. pours a light red with a nice light pink head that gave nice lacing throughout the brew. aroma is cherries and wine. taste is cherries and sugar. way too sweet for its style. medium carbonation, would be a refreshing afternoon beer on a hot sunny summer day, but the problem with this beer is that there is no sourness whatsoever. very disappointing. for the price this beer costs in quebec, i won’t even dare buy this again.

Lovely bright ruby red color with a foamy pink head that settles quickly, decent lacing. Aroma of candied cherries, very straightforward. No surprises, just fruit and sugar. Very sweet, like children’s cough syrup. Slightly thin body. You must like sweet beers to enjoy this one.

Cherry aroma, sweet with a bit of a medicinal edge. Light pink/reddish color and a bit of white head. Sweet an spritzer like...a bit thin tho.
