The_Osprey (10146) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2017
October 2017 - 375ml cork and cage bottle at home in Richmond, post-job interview. As 'Mort Subite Oude Gueuze Lambic', 2013 vintage bottled in Sep 2015, 7%. Opens with a big pop. Dark translucent orange, lightly sparkling, initial head dies to nothing pretty quickly. Aroma is apple juice, some old chewed up bubblegum, some unexpected banana split. Body is light with tingly carbonation. Taste is simple syrup, demerara, some more banana, little sherry oxidation perhaps, some light lemon tartness. Quite a watery flavour. Not very gueuzey. Oh well. (5-3-5-4-12=2.9)
