Piacevole, promossa.

Sample at the brewpub in Florence. A golde orange coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is raw beeady , grains, apple. Flavour is composed of rough grains, little homebrew quality, signs of a stressed ferment. Palate is grainy, moderate carbonation, ok.

on tap @ Mostodolce / Florence Italy --- Aroma of very sweet honey and malt. Slightly hazy dark amber color, white head that drops to a thin cover, dots of lace. Taste is sweet caramel malt that is only a little fizzy, adding chestnut and light spice before mild hops attempt to check things. Big on caramel, but the girls in my group like it a lot. I could drink it again.

Tap @ their pub in Florence. Hazy orange-amber with a thin white head. Interesting blend of flavors -- honey, fruit and grain as well as some darker and herbal notes -- but overly sweet and syrupy for my taste.

Bottled 330ml. -from the brewpub in Firenze. Amber coloured, minimal off-white head, honey and alcohol in the nose (not the best pair). Heavy honey, slightly fruity and vax like notes in the finish. Honestly this isn’t good (a way too sweet), sorry but not my type of beer.

I have never been a big fan of Martellina, Mostodolce’s most celebrated ale and one of the famous honey beers of Italy’s craft scene; definitely too sweet, and too much honey starting from the nose. Body is thick and syrupy, very hard to finish even a small glass.

Wild honey smell but not much else. White head that disappears quickly. Honey, malty and faint chestnut but not other tastes. Too sweet and not enough carbonation.
