Shared bomber poured to snifters displaying a fairly clear, orangy amber hue, a good layer of persistent, soft white head foam, and waves & spots of lacing. The aroma was a nice, perfumey blend of resiny pine, citrus as grapefruit, berry sweetness, and mid-fruit as peach. Moderate, but well rounded hop bitterness, with some lingering qualities, and a good malt backing. Nothing over the top, but very drinkable as a "go to" type IPA. jgb9348 (6327) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a bronze glow and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent citrus, grapefruit and especially piney hops coupled with a good amount of malt and some alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive resinous and rather piney flavours at first with a good herbal and slightly grassy hop character and a good malt backbone coupled with some light earthiness. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with a nice grassy and herbal note and a strong but bearable alcohol flavour. Overall, a great Southern California IPA and one that should be sampled by all that like the style, that is, if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle (mine says 7% abv on the screenprinted bottle) purchased from Texas Liqour in Carlsbad, California on 19-March-2013 for US$7.99 sampled a few hours after returning on a subsequent trip from San Diego on 10-June-2013 at home in Washington. Easily drinkable. Yup, that’s grapefruity alright. Has a sweet, malty undertone. Reasonably good. Nice lacing, as if that matters. Solid IPA. tgncc (3135) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAY 4, 2013

Bottle at a tasting at Matt’s place. Pours a slightly hazed orange amber with a thin white to beige head. Bright citrus and a touch of lemon on the nose, caramel and touches of citrus candy. Medium bodied, long citrus with some earthy pithy grapefruit notes. Very nice. jtclockwork (16702) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 21, 2013

22oz. bottle shared by James at Zach & Matt’s tasting. Pours slightly golden amber with a foamy white head. Strong grapefruit and pine notes in the aroma and taste. Some sweetness balances out the bitterness. Finish is slightly bitter but really clean and refreshing.
