650 ml bottle. Pours a clear somewhat dark caramel color with a large white head. A sweet fruity nose with some caramel. Sweet very fresh hop profile with big oranges and grapefruit, light caramel and earthy malts. Quite easy and flavorful. Nice. jgb9348 (6280) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a bronze glow and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent citrus, grapefruit and especially piney hops coupled with a good amount of malt and some alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive resinous and rather piney flavours at first with a good herbal and slightly grassy hop character and a good malt backbone coupled with some light earthiness. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with a nice grassy and herbal note and a strong but bearable alcohol flavour. Overall, a great Southern California IPA and one that should be sampled by all that like the style, that is, if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle (mine says 7% abv on the screenprinted bottle) purchased from Texas Liqour in Carlsbad, California on 19-March-2013 for US$7.99 sampled a few hours after returning on a subsequent trip from San Diego on 10-June-2013 at home in Washington. bergstaden (2990) - Røros, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2014
Amber with an off white head - Good hoppy aroma - Good malt body to support the hops that gives flavours of grapefruit and some pine in the back - Long dry hop finish - This was good beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - MAY 24, 2010
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2013 For some reason the aroma and taste of the Knucker reminded me of Orange Pekoe tea. I also get some grapefruit notes in here amidst a healthy bitter punch that really lingers. I really enjoyed this one and will pick it up again. JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Draft. Amber pour, sticky white head. Lots of grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruit in the aroma. Flavor is similar, with caramel malt, and some grain. Hoppy and fresh.

Easily drinkable. Yup, that’s grapefruity alright. Has a sweet, malty undertone. Reasonably good. Nice lacing, as if that matters. Solid IPA. tmoreau (4374) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Shared bomber poured to snifters displaying a fairly clear, orangy amber hue, a good layer of persistent, soft white head foam, and waves & spots of lacing. The aroma was a nice, perfumey blend of resiny pine, citrus as grapefruit, berry sweetness, and mid-fruit as peach. Moderate, but well rounded hop bitterness, with some lingering qualities, and a good malt backing. Nothing over the top, but very drinkable as a "go to" type IPA. bb (9311) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 26, 2013
