3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light amber with medium tan head. Little retention or lacing. Aromas of banana, spice, and a little Belgian yeast? Very reminiscent of a subdued witbier/blonde. Taste is much of the same with a mild vanilla right before the finish. Finish is sweet with a lingering vanilla oiliness.
Poco cuerpo, nula espuma. Ligero aroma a vainilla que se hace demasiado intenso en boca. Dulce, me recuerda excesivamente al yogur de vainilla, y esto es cerveza. CAN. Canned 18/11/2016 alex_leit (4124) - Minsk, BELARUS - JUL 2, 2017
Golden color. Aroma: sweet, vanilla and caramel, creamy. Taste: sweetish, vanilla, honey, malt, light hop bitterness. MetalNHopHead (1981) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - JUN 28, 2017
Cali Creamin’ won me over, even though I typically don’t enjoy this style all that much. It’s hedonistic, sure. This gold-colored beer has a cream, vanilla, and cereal grain nose. Flavor follows along exactly. Vanilla is undoubtedly artificial given how sweet it is, but it doesn’t get that clay-like chemical note that’s a dead giveaway. Also, I was impressed that this brew didn’t have the obnoxiously cloying flavors of corn and honey malt even though this Cream Ale is brewed with them. In all, it’s a cohesive and downright enjoyable beer with mass appeal. Hell, anyone could drink this. My internal beer snob grimaced when this was served in a frosted mug, but I have to admit it was perfect. This beer should be drank cold... and quickly. Mister_Li (1376) - GERMANY - JUN 20, 2017

12 oz single from Total Wine & More - Laguna Hills, consumed via can on a camping trip. Aroma of vanilla, cream soda, light grains and a touch of honey. Similar flavor, a one-dimensional novelty beer for the most part. Light and easy to drink overall. kabeck16 (10) - - JUN 2, 2017
This is a fantastic beverage. Easy drinking Cali goodness. On the beach, or beachside bungalow, or perhaps a lovely city park - extra refreshing and pleasurable in the sunshine

Can from Hippo. Hmm. It’s a bit niche for me. Cream soda in the nose, for sure. Given it a 7 for that, though I’m not sure how difficult it is to just make a beer that smells of cream soda. Looks lovely in the glass - Mother Earth stuff always does - but overall a bit confusing for me. Tastes of cream soda then it tastes of beer then it tastes of cream soda. Now: I like cream soda...and I like beer. But I’m not massively keen on them both in the same 5 seconds. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 13, 2017
This is a 2017 backlog entry. I may add more details on this beer at a future time. Navers (157) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 10, 2017
Can from Hippo Beers, Glasgow. Beer served in 5°C, Duvel Glass. Pours hazy yellow, with a little and quickly disappearing head. Aroma is similar to soda shake with condensed milk and vanilla. Coconut, banana and lime notes are also noticeable. Flavor is milky, creamy, powdery vanilla, not well balanced with medium bitterness and watery finish. Anyway beer is interesting and unique.
