12oz Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Rob! Between this and the Endless River, I am really impressed with Mother Earth’s traditional German style brewing. Nice work. On this, a toasty fresh bread and grain aroma. Flavors move more towards the dark fruits and browned nuts, but the crispness from the lagering is delectable. Very satisfying, round, and balanced. Some malt fruitiness and richness for flavor, not too much sugar nor alcohol for drinkability, and that really quenching crispness. Good Dunkel. AR (1000) - Georgia, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Had a hard time seeing anything here. There was a strong metallic twang to the beer, which overshadowed anything else. I think that if you could eliminate the metal it might be ok, but alas, ’twas not to be. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 25, 2013
Bottle. Pours a nice dark cola with a thing head and loose lacing. Aroma is sweet candi sugar and a a bit of roast. Taste is sweet, dark fruit, roast malts, dark sweet coffee. Smooth drinking. Aurelius (5476) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2013
Lightly candied, light roast, slight creosote aroma. Grainy dark malt, light astringency in the aroma. Good label; medium-dark clear brown. Cereal, lightly astringent, roast, not too sweet, low bittering. I was a little disappointed. Thanks LuckyDog. rondphoto (4489) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 5, 2013
Clear very dark ruby amber with a bubbly head that soon reduces to the rim, teardrops of lace. Taste is earthy moss and malt with overtones of nut bread and brown sugar, followed through the palate by prunes and apple, with light bittering at the finish. A rich brew with much to savor. Recommended.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2014 I have to re review this beer, the last offering I tried was much better than the first batch. The latest batch had me bringing home a growler which dissappeared very quickly. This stuff STILL looks dark and murky in the glass. Nice tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is toffee, roasted coffee, caramel and malt. Taste is caramel, malts, a hint of coffee, and it does definitely have a some what oyster stout taste. Eartly and slightly fruity. The taste has improved to be less grainy and abrasive. On the light side. Not too much carbonation. Slight bitter, yet still malty. A solid version of a classic German style. Much improved over what it has been. mansquito (6784) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Pizzeria Paradiso, Georgetown bottle ($7): Pours a murky light brown with a smallish head. Aroma is lightly of fruit, grain, with a hint of hops. Taste is much the same. Nice body and mouthfeel. Quite nice, but nothing all that special. jw0406 (1301) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 24, 2013

12 ounce bottle poured a dark brown color, aromas of light roast, light nuts, some wheat, and some light cocco. Flavors are the same with a coca-cola type finish. Decent ber overall would gladly drink again. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 24, 2012
A great brown lager. Pours a beautiful red-brown color, with a thick white head. Not too much smell, a little sweet. Taste is thick and creamy, sweet and a little nutty. Ends malty. Thick, but refreshing too! Had on tap at Carolina Ale House.
