could be the perfect joining of lager and ales- ale yeast but fermented cold like a lager. It’s decent and refreshing- a nice break from overly hopped american style ipa’s (although I always seem to come back to those.....). pours golden with a quickly dissipating head. If I were to judge on color alone, would have guessed a lower rating for this one. can’t judge a book...blah blah. refreshing, fruity, bubbly, interesting, dry on the finish, great warm weather brew. enjoyable, but even better than that, unexpected. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Bottle into pint glass. Slightly hazy golden color with white head. Aroma of pale malt sweetness with a nice citrus/lemon note. Taste add nuances of straw and graininess, slight grassy bitter finish. Light body, moderate carbonation, sweet with clean finish. Pretty flavorful for a Kolsch.

I like beer. OK with that said this beer was an average middle of the road beer. I would probably not give this one to my wife’s father in the fear that he would think I’m a middle of the road kind of guy. This is a after beer if you know what I mean. A filler inbetween the first few and the time when you are actually drunk. Not a bad beer with the smell of cooked vegetables, a taste of packaged lunch meat, and the aftertaste of girl who is a six. Big Red definitely takes care of this beer when its all done. OK I need to get back to work. Carry on you Hosers. TheBeerGod (6209) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Bottle. Gold pour with a short white head. Grain in the nose with light lemon, soft grassy notes and buttered toast. Taste is grains, sweet malt, light lemon, grass, light floral notes and biscuit. Body is light-medium with a light, prickly carbonation. Ends with more biscuit, buttered bread, light lemon, grains, grassy notes and sweet malt. Poured from the bottle - slightly hazy light yellow, 1 cm white head. Head dissipates quickly, light lacing. Aroma has notes of lemon and sweetness. Tastes initially sweet, followed by a mild bitterness. Corn and creamy flavors as well. More hoppy than I expected, but pretty good. This would go nicely with spicy Asian food. Medium-short finish. The Lost Notebook Files Beer #17. I continue to be amazed at how many Kölsch’s I reviewed during this formative period for my beer palate. Pours a pale gold with minimum head. Grainy scent. Taste is mild and crisp. Thin. Bottle - Green’s Beverages - Atlanta, GA drfabulous (7813) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUL 11, 2013
