This DIPA is a bad ass. Straight up. It’s hopiness isn’t just limited to the floral nose or lingering bitterness but a full hop flavor all the way through your palate. We bitter with a Super Alpha, and follow it up with a few flavoring additions throughout the boil. A massive dry hop of Simcoe and Amarillo create a huge aroma profile that really comes through in a big way.

Latest instalment in the ever-diminishing Christmas selection crate series, courtesy of Cousin Matt. Clearly not entirely clear but diaphanous orange with specks of unfiltered particulate scoring an instant bonus in my book. Heady overripe tropical fruit aroma with melon, dragon fruit and blackcurrant over something cheesier and more elemental with sappy pine, curry leaf, green stems and Triple Sec. Heady and perfumed with bags of honeyed orange liqueur sweetness overpowered by swaying canopies of tropical fruit, pineapples amongst them. Proper slightly biscuit-scented pale IPA malt letting the resins sing and waft- not all sickening Crystal. Blackcurrant, Jelly Tots, too much cordial and Fruit Salad chews. Keeps on giving with flowers, Cointreau, Murray Mints and menthol. Fragrant. But not for pussies. Cali IPA as it should be.

Tap at Rose and Crown in Palo Alto. Pours a moderately hazy orange with full, retained white head of small bubbles. Overt citrus and slight pine come off of the nose, with an orange peel aroma on the latter half. Taste is mixture of dank resins and citrus, orange. Marries well with sustained cracker in the back to provide sturdy backbone. Beautiful beer, with my two favorite hops blending perfectly yet again.

Big winner at Boise Brewing... Pours lightly hazed orange with a great head... Tons of big CCC hops that make me think melon and dank grapefruit pithiness.. Pale male and ABV adds a bigger complexity that carries and melds the boatloads of hops... Tastes very fresh.. Great change of pace at the Fresh Hop event that sorta scraped the palate clean.

Piwo klarowne w kolorze ciemny bursztyn z biala piana na grubosc jednego palca. W aromacie bardzo duzo kwiatow, grejpfruty i skorka z pomaranczy. W smaku czuc ostra goryczke, toffee i slody. Piwo konkretnie nachmielone pachnie jakby ktos dodał perfum z chmielu.

12 oz can, thanks Poisoneddwarf, PDT 10//16/15, so past it’s prime, but was told it was still good, we’ll see- Pours clear orange with a few particles floating about. Aroma is citrusy, pine, biscuity, somewhat resinous, some must age. The taste is citrus, strong pine resin, biscuity, a bit oxidized, but held up better than i was thinking. This beer would be really good fresh i’m thinking.

12 oz can from a six pack from Heritage Meats. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, perfume, candy. Pours nearly clear burnt orange with a collapsing beige head and little flecks of sediment floating around. Taste is highly bitter, with a tad malty sweetness that attempts to help balance it but doesn’t succeed very well; flavors of citrus, pine. This beer holds up pretty well for being canned six months ago. Didn’t notice the date till I walked out of the store. Doh! This brewery is brand new to my area, so it’s really surprising this is that old. The distributor must have had it sitting in their warehouse for awhile before bringing it into the market. Fuckers. This beer would have been amazing when fresh.
