Amber color and has beet sugar aroma. Out of balance from sweetness and fruity wanna be tartness. Phenolic character. Just not a real fan. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2012
pours a straw yellow with a very small white head which quickly fades. aroma is of funky wet hay, citrus, Belgian yeast, agave nectar, and some pepper. Flavor is of wet hay, citrus, sour fruits, some pepper, and some Belgian yeast notes. Has a medium boy with a creamy mouthfeel, and a slightly funky, dry finish. overall, a pretty decent Saison with a unique aroma thanks to the agave. elihapa (1553) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Agave Saison with amarillo and cascade. Hazy appearance. Lemony, perfume, floral, dry and crisp body. Flavor is balanced, perfumy, soft. Agave not noticeable. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Draught at Ritual Tavern. Clear amber golden with a one finger creamy off-white head, good retention and leaving a sheet of lacing. Aroma of dusty yeasty white pepper, fruity pear and apple, almond backing with pale malt. Fruity pear and apple up front, low sweetness, dusty pepper follows through to a dry finish, earthy bitterness peaking at a 4. Light to moderate smooth carbonation with a light to medium body. Pretty good, from a brewery I’ve not heard of. JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Bottle. Clear gold pour, with a standard white head, some lacing. Light fruity sweetness, belgian esters, some spiciness, and malty. Certainly not a bad saison, it does it’s thing, but overall not too interesting, and not as dry and rustic as I would like.

In taster at urge gastropub. Looks like piss with a small bubbly off white head. smells of grass and belgian yeast. Tastes like a pale belgian with some good complexion. Overall 7.5 of 10. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Clear golden with a fluffy white head. Barley apple pear and agave nectar aroma and taste with a dry silky palate. Quite good. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
[On tap] Clear golden appearance. Minty coriander aroma. Dry spicy palate, slightly tart, some orange tones and plenty of corinader, mildly astringent finish. Pretty good, slightly funky saison. Not getting the sweetness mentioned below - possible they tweaked or fixed it. DaSilky1 (2606) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Draft @ brewery. Pours fairly clear golden with a thin sheet of off-white suds atop. Yeasty nose but not offensively belgian thankfully, though there’s the cotton candy characteristics inherent in the saison yeast with some sweetness and somewhat delicate floral spiciness and a subtle note of white wine. Flavors are more pronounced with the yeastiness...but its not clouded by evident added spices or anything...so, though its got a pretty forward belgian estery yeast...they let it do its thing without weighing it down with other shit. Somewhat astringent finish but not overly offensive. That all being said, it lacks the rustic nature I like in saisons and isn’t overly refreshing or summer-like...basically just a refresher course of the saison yeast they use...which is pretty run of the mill, but non-offensive. Whatever. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 1, 2011
A: The pour is amber in color with a whit head.
S: What a shocker, the nose sweet, underattenuated, and sugary. A mild pepper and spice note to it along with some bread, caramel, and toffee (as if that’s what this beer needed).
T: Sweet sugar, caramel, and toffee right off the bat. A bit of a floral note to the beer, which is a welcome reprieve from the unrelenting sweetness. A bit of pepper and a hint of agave.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation.
O: There is something wrong here. Just way too sweet. Good thing I’m going to the dentist soon.
