Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a large foamy beige head. A little too much head going on here, hoping that theres no infection issues here. The nose is pretty interesting, lots of chocolate and oat sweetness with just a slight burnt caramel note. The flavor is not as delicious as the aroma unfortunately, but there doesnt seem to be any off notes. Plenty of chocolate, but less sweetness and complexity than the aroma suggested. A little too much caramel sweetness for my preference in a Porter. Medium bodied and slightly clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, not the best Porter to me. jbruner (5122) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - NOV 15, 2016
Pours a deep brownish black on tap with bubbly clinging tan head. Aroma of nice mild roast, dark chocolate, hint of earthy must. Taste is more of the roast, a bit of sweetness, and hint of fruity yeast esters. A nice solid porter that went well with my meal. HourGlass13 (1009) - North Carolina, USA - OCT 28, 2016
Pours up medium dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is malty with a hint of licorice. Flavors are coffee and a bit of tobacco. Medium bodied, bitter roast finish. A little thin. Aurelius (5496) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 6, 2016
Very dark, clingy bubbles on the inside of the glass, filmy. Clean, nutty sweet, slightly roasty aroma. A bit fruity, nicely bitter, moderately sweet, a little parched soy nut, faint creosote and black olive. Great mouthfeel, lots of body but good effervescence. Clean finish. On tap, Smokejack, Alpharetta. hman43 (1749) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - SEP 10, 2016
It has aromas of oats and chocolate. The flavors mirror the aromas with the addition of nuts. There is a fairly high level of carbonation as well.

Bottle. Pours a black color with off white head. Burnt, roasty, malted milkball, slight ashey aromas. Burnt roasty, toffee, slight wood flavors. Really enjoyable porter. ben4321 (6676) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 27, 2015

Second thing I’ve tried from Mother Earth. I enjoyed this significantly more than I did their Kolsch. This is a solid Porter.
Nice toasted grain nose. head is present but fades. Sweet on the tongue. Mouth feel is good for the abv. Overall not to bad. At first not to good but if you let warm up to a good temperature this one really shines. JDBaker11058 (2336) - Maryland, USA - DEC 7, 2014
Appearance: very dark brown, half a finger of creamy tan head shrinking quickly to a collar. Aroma: dark bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee beans, bit of vanilla. Taste: as the aroma indicates, but a little sweeter. Finish: lingering roasty sweetness, with coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, and a nice smooth oatmeal note on the palate. Notes: Really enjoyable porter, would drink again. Bottle from Roots Market in Olney, Maryland.

While the aroma and color are barely there, the flavor definitely is there and impresses. Well done.
