12oz bottle at Red Hen in DC. Pours a deep brown with some creamy, thin, off white head. Nose is alright, some cocoa pods, some gristy character, a little dusty, some caramel. Flavor follows right along, sweet malt, caramel, a little cheap rootbeer, some chocolate too, light bread crust. Watery finish. Unoffensive. decaturstevo (6257) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - SEP 21, 2014

12/28/13. 12oz bottle from Exit 18. Almost black pour with a small tan head that fades. Mild dusty chocolate aroma, faint soy sauce and ash. Mild flavor with milk chocolate, a hint of metal, light acidic sourness, a certain savory aspect, not quite soy sauce, lingering ash and dry maltiness. Eh.
