Can. Pours straw colored, medium white head, some retention. Aroma is toasted malt, hay, grass, faint soap. Flavor is lightly malty, slightly dry finish, nice hop flavor, touch of juniper. Refreshing and drinkable, not overpowering on malt or hops.
Can from Chips. Pours clear yellow with a small white head that dissipates almost immediately. The aroma has florals, hay, straw, grass. Almost pilsener-esque. The taste has a nice hop bitterness, some lemon and orange citrus. This finishes dry, medium bitter, leaves a tingle on the tongue. Not bad. User134089 (1644) - - SEP 17, 2014
Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Modern Times pint glass
From: Total Wine & More in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C.
Purchased: Sept. 9, 2014
Consumed: Sept. 16, 2014
Poured a golden, straw, semi-clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of khaki-white rocky head. Lots of streams of bubbles coming up from the bottle at different parts of the glass. Below average uneven layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Average-to-above retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.91)
Smelled Citra hops, floral hops, caramel, bread, light grapefruit notes and lemon grass. (Smell - 3.95)
Tasted pretty close to the nose. Very light and refreshing, but still a bitter aftertaste. Got floral hops, Citra hops, bitter orange rind, grassy notes, wheat and lime.
(Taste - 3.85)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, refreshing finish. (Feel - 3.91)
This was a pretty good pale ale overall. Not as flavorful as it good be, but easily drinkable, refreshing and tasty. NOTE: Late quarter of the beer had me feeling like I overrated it a tad. (Overall - 3.89)

Very cloudy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large, soapy, seven centimetre tall white head. Aroma of yeast, soap, unfinished sugars, light malt, grass and hay - interesting with some hops noticeable as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Very strong yeast note of belgian qualities with some pungent grassy and herbal flavours and a very perfumey hop character coupled with some sustained malt. Aftertaste is nice and fresh with a lot of grassy character and a good amount of belgian inspired yeast with a pungent, but low alpha acid hop note. Overall, a rather good and refreshing american pale with a herbal and grassy note that lasts indefinitely and some light malt flavours which balance out the subtle hops nicely. Well worth trying if you like this style since some of the belgian-tasting yeast brings out some complexity not usually found in this style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on 15-September-2014. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - SEP 12, 2014
12 oz. can from Lighthouse. It pours a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma has strong Cascade hops with some pineapple and grapefruit. The flavor has more grapefruit and mild florals. Very light maltiness. Solid bitterness. Really pleasant. Panzuriel (2199) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Second Wind Pale Ale is a Light Amber hazy beer with a firm head of tiny white bubbles. The scent of this beer is crisp with a moderate amount of indeterminate hops. Taste is very faint. A bit salty, mild hops of a green and maybe a bit green, mown hay variety. Body is smooth and silky. not very lively. Finish is faint. rather unassertive, beer that doesn’t distinguish itself.

draft at bottle rev. had side by side with wicked weed peoples choice and this was better in the taste and aroma department. Thought it was a nicely done pale ale. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - DEC 14, 2013

11/26/13. 12oz can. Orange amber pour with a small khaki head. Mild aroma, malty, some doughy malts and caramel, touches of orange peel and earthy/floral hops. Mild, malty flavor. Malty again, some caramel, earthy, floral hop character. Meh. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Can into pint glass, cloudy gold color with some white head. Aroma of malt sweetness and floral/citrus hops. Taste starts off with light citrus hops, fades quickly into light malt sweetness. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with a surprising clean dry finish. A lighter take on the style, just a refreshing pale ale. Westchesterco (2035) - mclean, Virginia, USA - OCT 17, 2013
