3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that diminished quickly, down to a very thin layer and a small collar of residue producing some fair streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a straw malt and a sweaty yeasty with notes of banana, citrus (lemon and maybe a little orange) and a hint of clove.
The taste was mildly sweet with a strong wheat presence from the beginning and then progressed with a big note of citrus and a mild hint of spice at the end. The flavor lasted only a short time and was refreshingly citrusy.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a mild creamy watery texture and had a good strong carbonation.
Overall this brew is a very light Hefeweizen that has a nice low ABV. I found it to be a very refreshing brew, which would be great for those days hanging out on the boat on a hot summer’s day...
Poured a light golden color with aromas of yeast, light bread, some cracked wheat and a touch of clove. Flavors are banana, yeast, light clove and some stale wheat. Not bad, but not the end all be all for this style. jgb9348 (6438) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 24, 2014
Super crisp and clear golden coloured body with a light golden hue and a thin, fast-dying single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of corn, alcohol, yeast, lemons, grass and hay - nice and light. Light-bodied; Strong wheat and coriander seed flavours at first with some hints of yeast, curacao and full oranges. Aftertaste is relatively mild with some light sweetness and orange flavours throughout -some nice tastes, but strongish for this style. Overall, a nice beer with more of an opaque and open wheat and orange flavoured beer, showing some nice complexity and depth. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-November-2014. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Can. Pours a yellow color with minimal white head. Yeasty, spicy, dusty, wheat aromas. Yeasty, wheat, spicy, citrus, and a touch of potato chips in the flavors. Not an impressive german hefeweizen. PorterPounder (8231) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Warner Robins, Ga. - Lazy Dog Growler - 12 oz can. Pours a hazy light golden with a light soft snow white head. Aroma of cloves and banana. Flavor is a good representation of the style with nice clove and banana accents, some coriander notes and a touch of banana. Nice crisp refreshing mouthfeel. Pretty decent. 12oz can from The Beer Store Wilson. Light yellow hue, hazy clarity with mostly diminishing white fizzy head. No lacing. Aroma of spice (clove) and a urinal. Light bitter clove up up front with a shore dry clove finish. Dry on the palate, fizzy carbonation, unpleasant after taste.

Refrigerated 12oz. Aluminum can poured into a weizen glass. Pours pale golden with small white head. Aroma is malty, medium/light body, medium/light carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is soft malt, lemongrass, some banana, really easy to drink. Paincane (170) - Georgia, USA - APR 28, 2014
Hazy golden hued body capped by creamy white head. Nose consists of fruit, clove & bubblegum. Light fruit, citrus & clove favors. Good Hefe. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 6, 2014
Can @ home, picked up in Charlotte. Pours a cloudy, dull yellow appearance with a nice, foamy, white head. A ton of spicy yeast in the nose that has a sort of nutmeg quality to it. Potpourri, lemongrass, tangerine also offered in the aroma. Slightly acidic and slightly metallic. Flavor is a bit dull, though the can was sitting on a hot shelf for god knows how long. A bit of banana and more citrus. A bit twangy. Decent. Drjohnrock (831) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Twelve ounce can from The Veggie Wagon, Carolina Beach, North Carolina, tasted on August 6, 2013. Cloudy yellow hue, small of white head, strong clove nose with a little yeastiness as well, light to moderate flavor of fruit and clove, with the latter less prominent than in the aroma--which is OK by me since I’m not a big clove fan. Somewhat astringent. All right summer refresher. drowland (8955) - Georgia, USA - JUL 30, 2013
3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Light pale golden pour with a fluffy off-white head. Banana, cream, and lemon on the aroma. Banana and citrus in the flavor, more spice, and doughy wheat malts. Not bad.
