We’ve crafted our Belgian-Style Tripel with honor to the Belgian Trappist Monks who perfected this notoriously smooth and balanced brew and leaked the secret to outsiders just a half century ago. This is a complex sipping beer that offers amazing zest yet finishes smooth and sweet.

Bomber I got from brewery a few weeks ago after the tour. Poured into Trappist glass, gold-amber color with beige head. Aroma of floral and fruity Belgian yeast, oak and booze. Taste is sweet, spicy, light bourbon, some caramel and alcohol. Medium body and soft. Finish is dry and warming. I like it.

12 oz bottle served in a tall snifter. Cloudy light copper body topped by a decent but not great head. Aroma: soft ripe fruits; alcohol esters; baked bread. High complexity. Flavor: rich and complex; lightly sweet with light bitterness in the finish. High ABV apparent. Feel: medium body and medium-light carbonation. Overall: unusual but tasty tripel. Recommended.

Bottle at Anchorage Sept ’14 Tasting: Poured a coppery color with a white head. Aroma was strong tropical fruits and vanilla. Taste was very complex with more strong fruit, vanilla, boozy, sugary, malts. Definitely a sipping beer.

From a bottle shared last August. Pours an apricot color with small head. Aroma of fruit rind, orange zest, sourdough, bourbon. Big carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of powder sugar, bourbon, oak, white pepper, vanilla. Overall big carbonation and sweetness, tasty and flavorful and easy to enjoy.

On tap at Tasty Beverage (Raleigh). Poured a hazy orange. Mild aroma with a combination orange/malt tone. Malt and Belgian influence much stronger in the flavor. Belgians/tripels are not my favorite, which explains the relatively low score, but not bad for what it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz goblet at Rustico Ballston. Pours a translucent orange gold with some thin, white head. Nose is loaded with candy sugar, pineapple candies, more tropical fruit, some spice, pear brandy. Flavor is sticky sweet, pineapple, jack fruit, brandy, some bread, a little yeast, pears, mild clove. Sticky finish. A bit too much.

Not your typical triple but very good and local from NC ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy light amber color with very little head on it. Light nose, I find, with just a bit of the Belgian yeast notes in there. Taste is light and smooth with just a bit of sweetness, and relatively characteristic of the style.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle.
Aroma: sweet pilsner malts, vanilla, apple
Appearance: poured golden with a white head
Taste: bourbon, butter scotch-I do not think it is diacetyl.
Overall: an interesting barrel aged triple

Thanks jwale73 for sharing! Pours a hazy honey color with a loose ring of light tan head. Smell is yeast, fruit and honey. The taste follows the nose with some alcohol and then finishes dry. Medium body, smooth with light carbonation. A nice and tasty sipper.
