Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! Blonde pour. Sweet raspberry, slight artificial sweetness. Nice crispness and barrel flavor. Not like the Lindemans framboise notes coming through, but the rest is fine. GenDV138 (7708) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAR 31, 2014
12 ounces of a 750 ml bottle (2014) poured into a tulip-style goblet. Pours a clear amber/golden orange color with 1-2 fingers of off-white head that fades moderately. Nice head retention leaving a half finger ring around the glass. Sparse lacing. Aromas of wine, a little oak, berries, stone fruit, honey, slightly medicinal/boozy notes. Tasting notes of wine, raspberries, subtle tart fruit, wheat, herbs and spices, light booze. Medium body with a dry and warm finish. Medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Interesting beer, would love to try the others in this series. bytemesis (9240) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAR 18, 2014
Bottle - thanks brentk56! Pours lightly hazy orange with a small white head that dissipates fairly slowly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is light overall, vinous, fakish-raspberry, some oak. Flavor is about the same, a bit of raspberry, some wheat notes poking through, oaky tannins, some wine. Light sweet, fairly tannic and a bit of fruit skin bitterness on the back end. Medium body, highly carbonated, a bit hot. Nothing amazing to be sure, but better than I expected given the ratings.

Bottle thanks to Steve for sharing. Pours a hazy gold color with a small bubbly head that fades to a small ring. Aroma is almost all fresh raspberry but there’s some light wheat and metal too. Taste is the same. Too much raspberry really. Big red wine taste in the finish. Bold beer but it doesn’t really work. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2015 Bottle: Thanks, Steve! Cloudy, amber-orange body with an off-white head that fades quickly to a mildly chunky collar. The aroma is like a juicy, fresh raspberry patch. Undercurrent of lemon, earthy vine, & slightly wine-like grapes from the Pinot barrels. The pureness & fresh raspberry aroma is very nice, something to really take in. The taste doesn’t translate perfectly, unfortunately. It’s certainly not as tart as expected... barely at all, really. More sweet than anything, & the raspberry is quite faint. Light, oak & vinous heat with a Chardonnay presence... That’s pretty much it. Kind of bland, a bit of a let down on the palate. Slick, oily body. Bottle: The aroma consists light raspberry, bandaid, herbs, and a hint of alcohol. It pours a hazy golden-orange with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with light-moderate raspberry and faint citrus. The finish has light grain, yeast, and a touch of lemon peel. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.
