Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of tootsie rolls and carmel. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, light carmel and a hint of earthiness with a smooth cocoa finish.

This version blended with some golden at the source, for altitudes restaurant. Ok

I’m not much of a brown ale fan, so this was a pleasant surprise. It has a little sweetness and some toffee, but not too much. Enjoyable.

Pour immediately erupts into a massive head. Seductive brown sugar. Milk chocolate. Light roast. Caramel. Toffee. Sweet. Really delicious. Pleasantly different from other brown ales I can remember. Nice.

Deep brown with tan head poured from bottle. Big toasty flavor but no burnt taste to me. A bit nutty, cashews. A good brown with enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. Light body for such big flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from T’s Liquors. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Slight nutty note on the nose. A bit nuttier on the tongue but not that much nuttier. Finishes clean. Eh!

About an average brown ale. From a bottle into a tulip glass. The aroma seemed promising at first, then it faded. Flavor was similar; for a moment it seemed like it was going to be flavorful, but it faded quickly and ended a little thin. Not bad, but it could be better. This is my second from this brewery; the pale ale was better.

Btl pours dark brown clear. Thick creamy tan head that hangs around. Smells of malty cereal, roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Tastes of sweet caramel and toffee, malty and nutty. Medium body with creamy texture. Soft carbonation with a slightly metallic, earthy finish. Very slight hop bitterness. Good session brown fantastic flavors, nice balance, solid beer. This is the 2nd beer I’ve had from mother road. Both have been outstanding.

The previous rater to me must have an axe to grind with this brewery. Brown color with a tan head. Roasted nuts, caramel malts, bready flavors. Not too bad.

This beer is NO Brown ale at all. The taste is so gross its hard to even want to take another sip. The carbonation is too overwhelming. If you like this beer than you haven’t had a REAL Brown ale.
