Imperial Three Blind Mice, once Mother’s little brown beer, is now all grown up and running the show. Rich and full bodied with chocolate, coffee, and caramel malt flavors, it bestows a noble hop nose and balanced finish on its loyal subjects. This is one regal brew fit for a king - out on the town or home in the castle

Dark brown to slightly black in color. Plum, fig, and date aroma. Pit fruit esters are present and noticeable alcohol warming taste. Complex yet finishes remarkably smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at an ESBLS. Dark brown with a lot of amber. A blotchy off white layer. Bourbon aroma. Flavor begins with berries and grapes. Bourbon under. Massive malts. Warming. A lot going on and it all works. Chocolate and earth. Really good stuff.

Bottle from RobertDale, thanks for the opportunity! slightly hazy dark brown with reddish highlights at the edges and a frothy tan head that persists. Brown sugary caramel maltiness with hints of chocolate and a touch of ethanol as well as a slight ashy chalky mouthfeel. Decent strong ale.

Pour is a clear brown witha large tan head. Aroma is a nice but faint cocoa but there is also a big alcohol presence. Flavor is a chewy chocolate malt similar to other brown ales but again there is a noticable alcohol. Finish has a bit of sweet malt but again you can’t escape the alcohol. I don’t know what they were going for here. It’s like an average brown ale with a lot of alcohol.

Pours translucent brownish/red with small tan head. Smell is like a Belgian, sweet with a little spice. Taste is like a mix between a Belgian and an imperial stout. Some coffee taste with clove and fruit. Also reminds you of a brown ale. Palate is a little thin. Good.

Extra in a recent trade. 12oz bottle, enjoyed at fridge temp in a Teku. 4 finger fluffy big bubble / creamy head. faded very slow. Pour was a light brown. In the glass, a darker brown. A lot of malt presence on the nose with caramel, candy toffee and pumpkin. Certainly a lot of flavor in this one. Dense old fruit, dark fruit simmered with sugar and a touch of tar. Sweet date / fig finish. A bit too much cigar flavors in here. Not a bad brew.

Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Dark brown in color with a small khaki head. Fair amount of grape juice, cocoa powder, and brown sugar. A bit of booze and toasted nuts. Fairly sweet taste. Lots of brown sugar, caramel, and grape jelly. Some semi-sweet chocolate in there as well. Mild roasted malt and cocoa powder bitterness.

RobertDale (6985) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Sample at SRBG 2014. Pours reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dark fruit, and alcohol. On the sweet side.
