Pours a cloudy copper color. Chunkies floating around in there. Poured with barely any head. What it did have was late forming. No lacing, no retention.

Aroma is pine, citrus and honey. Smells heavy, sort of like scotch ale.

Taste is sweet, very sweet. Pine, citrus lemon peel. Malty. Touch of honey. Brown sugar.

Mouthfeel is full bodied. I don't taste the alcohol, but I feel it! I guess I'd call it chewy, and smooth.

Overall, this is weird. It's somewhere between barleywine and scotch ale. Seems like ABV is understated. It's okay I guess. I'm intrigued, I'd buy it again, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Bottle in MV. Pours unclear burnished orange with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds ripened citrus fruits, lightly toasted crackers, some toffee. Medium sweet flavour with lots of jammy citrus, some marmalade, rich bready malts, more toffee, some brown sugar, mild bitter and oily pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with light resinous pine, a little boozy warmth, toasted crackers. Perhaps a little aged? This one, as it is, leans towards barley wine territory. But it drinks pretty good.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass. Appearance was hazy with fine particulates, golden-orange color, mild sparkle, good white head, no lacing. Aroma was resinous, grapefruit, citrus. Taste as aroma. Palate was light-to-medium bodied with thick, creamy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mostly bitter finish. Overall, toward the bitter side but not unpleasantly so. If a midwest IPA is supposed to be half-way between a bitter West Coast IPA and a fruity, flavorful East Coast IPA, then it hits the mark.

Tap at the pub. Brilliantly clear light orange color, frothy white head. Fairly hoppy aroma. Some citrus notes, floral, grassy. Light grain backbone. Flavor is dried leaves, floral hops, some citrus sweetness with a mild bitter finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma vanilla cream and raisins. Taste is reminiscent of Dogfish Head's 90 Minute with less of a spice and more of a light creaminess. Solid beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of Braudog. Thanks Matt! Amber pour with a short white head. Aroma is fruity with a big malt backbone and chewy caramel. Taste is also chewy caramel, toasted malt, citrus and light floral notes.Body is medium with a dense, creamy carbonation. Light stickiness to this as well. Ends with more citrus fruit, floral hops, chewy caramel and toasted malt.

Bottle. Standard visuals, amber and capped in white foam. Frothy and firm, with normal American pale ale characteristics -- moderately hoppy with a middle of the road flourish, solid base, clean balance. Good sipper, but doesn’t stand out in a crowded field. (#6210, 6/12/2016)

It pours deep orange with an off white head. The aroma has floral hops, mushy malt and light fruit. It has a medium body with soft carbonation. The taste is pretty balanced with soft caramel malt, floral and woody hops and mild sweetness. Decent.
