22 oz bomber purchased at the brewery in Springfield, Missouri. The pour is a hazed almost murky brown with a well formed one inch khaki head. The aroma is clean soft cocoa chocolate along with fresh raspberry and general malt sweetness. The taste is the malt initially, toffee, nut, caramel along with the cocoa chocolate of the nose, and the finish is the softly tart raspberry, that really cuts nicely through the initial sweetness and dries out the finish. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, lower carbonation and the sweet than clean tart raspberry in the aftertaste. Flavors really meld well, beautifully executed concept. Sampled at gregwilsons tasting. Thanks Doran. Very dark brown and opaque. The aroma is rich fruity goodness. A nice aroma. First sip is kind of bitter raspberry with chocolate under. A whole lot going on here. Wood, earth, huge rich malts, so much fruit, berries. Delicious stuff. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 14, 2015

A very nice fruity strong ale. Cocoa, cinammon, nutmeg, plum, and yes, raspberry. Very nice addition.

A clear chestnut brown with a slight ruby tint, a small tan head with tight bubbles that settles to a ring and leaves decent lacing. Aroma of raspberry sorbet, mild chocolate and toasted malt. Taste has raspberry flavoring with a hint of tartness and caramel sweetness along with some dark chocolate, toasted malt that hints a being roasty, some moderate booze and mild bitterness. Finishes semi dry with a lingering toasty/toasty flavor. Mouthfeel is somewhat slick with a medium body and light/moderate carbonation. Not very complex but the flavors do work well together even though I would have liked a fresher raspberry flavor. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2014
22oz bottle. Dark red brown color, mostly clear. Thin ring of off-white head. Bits of lace. Mmmm. Awesome raspberry and chocolate aroma. Moderate sweet taste, light tart. Medium to bigger body. Smooth kind of soft lighter carbonation. Tasty stuff! raspberry and malt notes work well together, I enjoyed this. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Keg @ Sideways, Fayetteville. Deep brown with red highlights. Small head. Nose is dark forest fruits, plum. Some cocoa and dark chocolate. Taste is bright raspberry. Tart and sweet. Cuts the rich toffee and chocolate well. Full body, rich but has good balance. An improvement on the base beer. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Bottle. Pours a hazy very dark brown with a creamy light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a rich sweet raspberry (hint of tartness) note with a nice backing of dark grains and a bit of sweet dark bread. Flavor has more of the sweet raspberry with some light dark grains that add some balance. justsayswell (281) - Kansas City, Kansas, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Bottle #1571. Poured into a tulip glass. Pours a muddy brown, medium fluffy head. Nose is raspberry jam, chocolate, caramel malt. Palate is medium, low carbonation. A little slick. Toffee, nutty caramel flavors. Lots of raspberry. Moderate bitterness. Finishes a little sweet. Really well done.
