Marrying the best elements of traditional German golden ales and classic Midwestern wheats, this American Blonde lives up to Mother’s expectations. Towhead is refreshingly light-bodied with flavor that won’t quit. It starts slightly sweet with hints of fruit and finishes with the faintest hop kiss that’ll leave you reaching for another. And another.

Towhead is Mother’s little blonde baby. We’ve captured a subtle blend of sweet, fruity flavors—well suited for close examination yet balanced enough to go down smooth, clean, and crisp when you just want something cold and tasty.

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma is full of heavy wheat and grass. The flavor is wheat, biscuit, grass and white pepper. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Towhead has a thick, slightly off-white head, a mostly clear, golden appearance, and some glass lacing left behind. Aroma is of very yeasty, sweet, sourdough white bread, and the taste is of those elements, with a shadow of banana and coriander. Bitterness exists, simply for rounding purposes. Mouthfeel is medium and a touch slick, and Towhead finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT

Clear gold, white head, sweet grain, a touch of lemon. Pleasant enough for what it is.

The beer pours golden yellow with a light haze and has a white head. The aroma has rich pale malt, cream and some dough. It has a medium body with fairly soft carbonation. The taste starts with spicy hops, lake malt, light saltiness and crackers. The finish is a bit watery and salty. Okay.

Mild ale with sweet taste and aroma. More like a product of a mass brew than a micro. Not bad, just eneventful.

Pretty nice blonde ale. Straw colored. Light grain flavor. No awkward tastes or finish.

Bottle. Golden with one finger head. Tastes like sweet sourdough bread. Pretty bland. Average at best.

Finhead (1770) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 12, 2015
Clear, golden pour with a large, white head. The aroma is lightly fruity. It has a light body with average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with clean finish.

Pours medium light straw color. Perhaps a little darker than light lager normally is. Pretty thick head. Thick clinging lacing. Lots of rising bubbles. A little cloudy.

Aroma is much like sourdough. I also smell pine, and some lemon.

Taste isn’t great. Lemon bitterness. Could be hops. Might be a little corn flakey. It’s not bad.

Mouthfeel is clean, quite dry. Maybe a little grainy. A little bitter. Not as drinkable as you might expect.

Overall I like it okay. It’s not as good as I had hoped. It’s a light tasting beer with good flavor. They succeeded there. But its not memorable. Despite the low score I could suggest you try it, but not necessarily recommend it.

Bottle. Pale yellow with minimal head. Over ripe banana, corn flakes, light sourdough and dandelions. Tastes dry and bready. Body is lighter with a fizzy feel.
