4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
SOOOOOOO good! I wish this had a better availability so it could be my go to beer! I got it in a build your own at the brewery in Springfield MO. BUT they also had it at Metcalf Liquor in 4 packs. $11 though....hope to find it on tap.
2015 bottle. Hazy but bright orange/copper color with a thick white head and small yeast particles. Aroma is caramel malt with lots of tropical and citrus fruits and pine. Taste pretty much matches the aroma with a big sweetness that is balanced by a big bitterness. Some floral bitterness in the taste, as well as pine. Little astringency at the end. Nice medium mouthfeel.

Bottle at home. Pours amber with one finger of eggshell head. Aroma is citrus mostly lemons and some floral. Flavor follows and citrus is really pronounced with a strong malty backbone. I really like this beer a lot. Very nice.

Drinking this and happen to be eating a falafel sandwich, which is one of the food paring suggestions on the bottle - holla! Sweet and malty with some nice fruity hops in both the nose and in the taste. This is a solid IIPA. M82 (469) - Kansas, USA - MAR 15, 2013
huh, not bad. I don’t think this one is uber fresh, but decently fresh. Looks very nice, saturated hazy amber, no floaties just hazy, smells very sweet - is that a Southern Tier beer? reminds me a lot of unearthly - taste follows, enough hops to almost pull the sweetness through, smooth and Extremely soft spongy body - again is this a Southern Tier beer? Overall, not bad, but pretty simple and sweet boto (2249) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - FEB 19, 2013
12oz. bottle: This one pours a somewhat opaque, orangish amber color. There was a small off-white head on it that didn’t linger too long. It does leave some lacing. Nose is a bit subdued for a DIPA. Orange and grapefruit hops are most dominant. Some pine and grassy notes. The taste is pretty good. Decent malt body under the hops, with a bit of caramel sweetness peeking through. Fair amount of hop bitterness. Orange, grapefruit and some pine notes. Not bad, I’d have another.
