Bottle in Vail courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks bro! Pours a deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Roasty coffee, earthy, chocolate, toasted aroma. Creamy dark chocolate, somewhat herbal/earthy, toasted coffee flavor. Pretty good but not excellent. phaleslu (10333) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 18, 2014
12 oz. bottle from foppa78 - thanks again, Mat! Good to have a new MO bottle in my hands. Pours a deep coffee brown with a moderate beige head that leaves some uneven lace and settles into a ring and film. Aroma of espresso, dark chocolate, earth, toast - pretty straightforward coffee stout nose. Flavor of espresso, roast, toast, earth, dark fruit, and mellow spice. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a mouthfeel that simulates cold-pressed coffee pretty well. Good coffee stout. Strykzone (7430) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 14, 2011
Sampled at an esbls tasting. Shep brought it. Almost no red in the black. A thin but active tan head. Coffee and ashtray nose. That is the flavor, too. A thin feel. Some distant dark fruit and chocolate. Some fruity hops in the finish. Not a great stout. AirForceHops (7334) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 23, 2014
12 oz. bottle thanks to GrandaddyKC. Neck stamp date of 10/28/14. Dark black color, with fast vanishing tan head. Aroma is black coffee with roasted barley. The front of the sip shows a large amount of roasted coffee followed by caramel and some bitterness in the back to help balance. Body is lean but that is ok because it is only 6% ABV. Very coffee forward. Extremely drinkable coffee stout, thanks Brad!

Pours dark brown with a team head. The aroma has peppers, coffee and roast. It has a medium smooth body with light carbonation. The taste has chocolate, nuttiness and coffee. The finish has a bit of coffee grounds. Good.

Big roasty coffee nose. Some acidity some almost burnt danky notes. Definitely coffee beans. Fresh. Almost black pour with a tan head. Nice full coffee flavor. Some light sweetness underneath. Pretty much all coffee. But not overly agressive or burnt. Only problem to me is flabby carbonation. Other than that it tastes nice. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2014
Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some strong coffee and chocolate notes. The flavor is full of coffee, cream, chocolate and roasted malt. Very nice overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Good coffee beer. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - DEC 26, 2011
Bottle, thanks to my brother. Black body with a light brown head. Nice roasted coffee with some dark chocolate. A little bit of stone fruit. The taste has some cherries and a little bit of coffee. There is also a little bit of dark chocolate. Smooth and well done. ads135 (4727) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 29, 2015
A very nice, very potent coffee stout. The coffee adds some sharpness and acidity to this very rich, dark beer. Robust chocolatey sweetness finishes it off. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Pours a deep almost black with hints of amber when held to light. Bubbly deep tan head that didn’t want to stick around. Aroma of freshly ground coffee, caramel, milk chocolate, toasted nuts and light roast. Flavor of milk chocolate, coffee milkshake, vanilla, roasted nuts and caramel. Well done coffee stout.
