1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
11.16oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale gold with minimal head. Aroma of corn and dirty grains. Taste is medium-heavy sweet. Loads of corn and cotton candy. Medium bodied with a surprisingly thick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not too bad. Nothing I would like to drink again though.
330 ml bottle, as Mountain Crest Canadian Lager, from Mountain Crest Brewing Company, Calgary. Brewed with Canadian 2 Row Malt. ABV is 4.7%. Bought at Vaaland, Bryne. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate grassy aroma. Bland flavour, but no offensive side-notes. Some malty sweetness, very moderate hops. Won’t buy again. On bottle as Mountain Crest Canadian Lager at Meny, Vollebekk. Golden color, good foam- stays for a good while.
Aromas of boiled vegetables, some malt- When beer gets tempered nasty aromas makes a solid presense, papir.
Light body & complexity.
Not good stuff Lemke10 (993) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 12, 2013
I got this after taking the brewery tour at Minhas. This pours a clear, pale yellow color with a foamy, off-white head. The scent is mostly of grassy grains. There is a pretty good punch from the grain flavor but it doesn’t exactly make for a good taste. Drinks a little chewy and finishes slightly bitter and chalky. A nice step up from Budweiser, but that’s about it. mzaar (3596) - Varberg, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2013

0.33l bottle. This is a clear golden one with a small quickly sidesticking white head. It’s extremely low on the aroma this. Hard to get much, but some grainy sweetness perhaps? If you swirl it well enough I get traces of something candy-sweet thing. It’s quite thin and watery - both in the mouthfeel and taste. You recognize the sweetness found in the aroma, but not much more really. Perhaps there is a soft burned trace in the aftertaste, but I think that’s pushing it a bit. Dull, average, extremely plain and watery lager from Canada with no distinct flavors, no bitterness and absolutely no future prospects of me purchasing it ever again. I think they can do much better than this. 19.01.2013 fellebag (1547) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 31, 2013
Bottle 33cl. Small white layer, allright carbonated. Pours very clear, some more of red color in the glass. Nose is leaves, rottening fruit and autumnly grain. Flavour of the same with a hint of cardboard. But it still suits me in a way.

0.33 L bottle from Ølhandleriet, Oslo. Labelled as ’’Mountain Crest Canadian Lager’’. Brilliant pale golden, low snowy white head. Unfresh sweet flour-ish aroma. Suggestions of apple juice and hay. Flavor is like chemically manufactured malts... if it exists. Artificially sweet and perfumey with rubber tones. A distant note of stale bittering hops. Sweet puke notes in the finish. This beer really turn me off. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle from ICA Maaseskjæret, Bergen. Deep golden body, small short-lived white head. Near-syrupy caramel-ish maize tones, grains, h of grass and sawdust in the back. Taste is watery corn-ish caramel and grain notes with faint hints of red berries in the back. Virtually no hop tones at all. Soft carbonation, thin body. Pretty freakin’...meh.
