This is my current fav swilling beer, I think I’m at about 10 cartons over the last 4 months. Best oz session beer? Could be! Pours deep amber red with sml-med head. Smells hoppy, pine, fruit & malt. Tastes like a great mix of hops, a little fruity, quite malty and finishes bitterly. Those mountain goat guys do it good. Props. orange_3084 (127) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 11, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2013 Deep clear reddish brown colour with medium white head. Hop aroma of citrus, pine and passionfruit is masked somewhat by the malt character of dark caramel. Medium oily body. Taste is also a slightly burn caramel sweet maltiness, which. Too much malt character disallows the hops to shine in this IPA. Still a decent drink. Pours a adark bronze color with a good head that fades slowly to nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, roasted malt and carmel. Taste is a bit of grapefruit with a caramel and some roasted malt. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, crisp and smooth, nicely balanced. An enjoyable beer. Nice take on the style, a bit more malt than expected but still worth checking out. UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 Pours dark amber with a fading head.
Nose shows hefty crystal malt along with massive tangerine and toasty characters.
More tangerine and caramel as flavours. A fairly assertive bitterness in the finish but the malt wins out.
Body feels syrupy. varanid99 (1338) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 24, 2012
Also drinking the 2012 version; as per comments below may be different to the original here. 6.2% ABV, different label description to above. Deep amber pour, thick off white persistent head. Pine needle and citrus aroma, very clean taste. Pine, resin, nice bitterness. Very more-ish..

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Really solid ipa has lots of tropical fruits and biscuit notes in the nose. Taste is really clean with a crisp bitter finish. Just a solid well balanced ipa. Good session beer maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 21, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pretty standard ipa but goes down really well and is nicely priced. Super clean with a soft bitter finish which brings you back to the glass pretty damn quick. Really enjoyable thirst quenching stuff

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a deep amber with a small white head. OK lacing. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, pine and hops. Nice caramel malt backing throughout this one. Hops and malts work very well together. Quite easy going and superbly balanced. Very good if you’re looking for a solid ipa and don’t want a hop bomb
Bottle. Pours clear deep amber orange with big bubbled off white head. Aromas of citrus, piney grass and light caramel malts. Medium light body, big carbonation, generous bitterness and hop flavour. Zesty finish, citrus and grass a touch veg, but quite appreciable.LesArgen (374) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 15, 2012

640ml bottle. Pours clear orange amber with big rocky off white head. Nice aromatic malt, caramel toffee, citrus and a light grassy pine passionfruit. Light-medium body, spicy malt character and moderate zesty bitterness with a lively carbonation. A lingering malty sweet spiciness works with a lingering hop bitterness and a touch of wheat malt character. Ok, but not as good as expected.
You’re right, @pyobon - word is that this is the rare breed IPA (according to Crafty Pint, I think) and it is now a permanent part of the Mountain Goat range. Definitely wrong to class this as an APA. The aroma is grapefruit and pine with a little honey and sawdust. It has a very dry palate and the taste skews heavily in flavour of the hops with little malt to speak of. On the other hand, it has impressive length with the citrus flavours reaching all the way down my throat. A great option on a Summer day. Jado (805) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2012
2012 version from 339 ml bottle. Poured a deep copper with a tight white head and good sparkle. Pine and floral notes on the nose. Taste is driven by hop flavours - bitter lemon, pine resin and plum backed by chewy malt. Clean finish. Not the most assertive IPA going around, but tasty nonetheless.
