Damn this is a great brew. Digging everything I try from Mountain Goat! MrChrisbeers (7) - Wembley, WA, AUSTRALIA - OCT 12, 2012 does not count
Someone out there knows what I like and has bottled it. Opened one of these after a couple of disappointing ’entrees’. An absolute winner on all counts.

On tap at Biero. Great hoppy beer. Aromas of caramel and grass. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head. Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - AUG 24, 2012
Awesoem IPA really nice aromatic with just a twist of coffee. Not as much coffee as I had hoped for but what a great IPA that they use as their base pretty much nailed it for me. More coffee yea, but the beer is still so tasty it doesn’t seem to matter. vinhol (344) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 2, 2013

Bottle. Pours a dark golden with a solid white head. Nose has pine, grapefruit, citrus and sweet caramel/coffee malts. Taste is really fruity blending with roasted espresso. Coffee blended in beautifully leaving mild bitterness and is easy going on the palate. Great beer

On tap at the Mountain Goat Brewery. The first of its kind in Australia I believe. Pours a deep clear golden colour, exactly like the normal Rare Breed IPA. I like the Coffee kick on the palate, a little hint of Coffee on the aroma too, but mostly hop aroma still, an interesting beer. Nice work on coming up with a totally new twist on IPA independently. drab1ne (9) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - SEP 10, 2011 does not count
Three times the coffee was added but I only got a hint of it once or twice still a refreshing brew but pretty pricey for an Australian drop purchased at home. Though I’m yet to try a beer I didn’t like from the Mountain Goat lads even if they are Victorians. Gramoit (493) - Surrey, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2012
Mountain goat know how to make a good IPA with a twist. Hoppy on the nose with a little coffee. Taste is more Malty then Hoppy with medium bitterness and some coffee. Another good beer from mountain goat. ComradeK (1256) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 25, 2012
640ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber, with a medium off-white head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves decent lace. There is a fairly strong white cherry aroma, mixed with some citrus hops and a touch of coffee bitterness. Fruity hops up front, with some peach and lime notes, mix nicely with a touch of bitter, yet somewhat fruity coffee. These give way to burnt caramel malt, which also makes a pleasant blend with the coffee flavour. The coffee becomes a little more pronounced in the finish, and leaves a nice, bitter aftertaste. This is a good coffee IPA. The coffee makes its presence felt throughout, but is never intrusive or dominating. Instead it creates an interesting and pleasant blend with the fruitiness of the hops. Nice stuff.
