COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Steam Ale is a crisp, certified organic ale. We incorporate a slap of wheat malt in the grist make-up and ferment it cool. We use Cascade and Citra hops to give it a fresh, zippy finish. Great as the weather warms up.

From Americanos over Matt's 31st birthday weekend. Light straw green/gold. Barely any head. Smells of crisp floral hop. Tastes of bitter slightly woody/resin hop, corn, very light orange juice. Body is medium, softly fizzy, quite a sweet and softly tart finish. Not bad (surprised it got less than a 3.0 rating). Body and taste have a corn-y malt sweetness but it's balanced by decent hop bitterness.

Bottle at Americanos. Slightly hazy golden pour. Aroma is sort of generic grassy hops. Taste is similar - clean grassy bitterness. Light body with dissipating bitterness. Quite fizzy. Not bad for a sort of simple clean beer.

Nice lighter bodied ale, lots of lacing coats the glass. Slight citrus aroma, hints of grass and hay. Flavor extremely subtle, but week executed, works on many levels. Thirst quencher, sipper, meal accompianment... Sit back and savor.

Bottle. Hazy pale yellow beer with a large head. Aroma is spicy with notes of hay, ocean mist and wheat. Flavor is spicy with notes of skunky hops, sea mist, hay and wheat. Not very pleasant.

Pale yellow pour with no head and low carbonation. Malt, grapefruit and slightly earthy aroma. Slight citrus and malt flavour, crisp but not much to it.

[email protected] Golden yeallow, light haze. Yellow berry fruityness intially, some greens, reminding me just a tad of brooklyns lager actually. Malty, some honey. Lightish body. Some malty sweetness. Dry finish. Some yellow fruits, honey melon, pumpkin even. Clean, but not really that interesting.

Pours brightly golden with a thick head. It has a strong tropical bouquet of mango and passion fruit from the citra hops with a subtle malt sweetness. It has a fairly low bodied mouthful with moderate carbonation. It has subtle citrusy flavour with a crisp bitter finish. A great palate cleanser and thirst quencher.

330 ml bottle bought at foodGARDEN in D2 Place, Lai Chi Kok.

Cloudy hazy straw golden colour with no yeast sediments; Razor-thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; Small sticky lacing with minimal carbonation; Fragrant aroma of Ale malt, with strong grapefruit, passion fruits, light peaches, floral nectar, strong molasses, strong yeast, very light lemon and light grass; Light sweet taste of thinned light Ale malt, with wheaty dryness, light grapefruit, lemon, light lime, very light spices, yeast, moderate bitter hops and strong grass; Light body, dry and thin palate; Mouth feel Ale base but strongly thinned by wheat, with dry crispyness but not tart. Malt is underwhelming, so are the hops: fairly low-fi grapefruit and lemon, moderate bitterness and quite strong green grass, with taste not as impressive as the nose. Fair and moderate bitter finish; Dry after taste, Crisp and wheaty to mouth.

Comments: This one is almost like a midget version of White IPA, if only it was meant to be: Nice floral and tropical hops aroma being upstaged by wheaty dryness, thin malts and underwhelming hop taste. As drinkable as a hopped-up Hoegaarden, I rather have a full-body blond ale instead. So-so.

Keg. A slightly hazy golden yellow with a small but lasting and lacing white head. Lemon, pale malt biscuit notes, grassy hops and some orange characters comprise the profile. Light to medium body, soft to medium carbonation with a modest intensity and length bitterness to finish. A relatively standard, moderately hopped golden alenwith good freshness and quaffability.
