COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Steam Ale is a crisp, certified organic ale. We incorporate a slap of wheat malt in the grist make-up and ferment it cool. We use Cascade and Citra hops to give it a fresh, zippy finish. Great as the weather warms up.

on tap at the hop factory in newcastle. clear pale golden; nutty, funky aroma suggesting some attention to detail in warm fermentation; light citric hop character with decent bitterness. not my favourite style but a good approximation of it for an australian brewery

Just slightly hazy golden, film of head on top. Aroma has lots of fresh fruits, bit citrus and tropical fruits, caramel malt. Nice aroma. Fizzy carbonation, liht body, bit watery, sweet with quite low bitterness, finish dries bit, more malt than in aroma and unfortunately not as fresh either. Good aroma but more just ok as a whole.

kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2014
Golden with a slight haze with a white head that stays the drink. Aroma is medium straw with some bitterness. Taste is medium bittersweet straw. Pretty decent. I can go with this in Hong Kong.

drpimento (3578) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 11, 2014
Poured this at a good temperature with a very fizzy, then scummy head. Aroma was abundant tropical fruit with some yeast and hop. Flavor’s a bit more traditionally steam, but not much. The heavy carbonic tang hinders. Body’s a tad thin. Finish is like flavor, not very balanced, too long lasting. Never want another.

Bathory (458) - Kverneland, NORWAY - JAN 21, 2014
Pours a alsmost hefeweizen colour, with a small white head that disappears a bit too fast. Aroma of hay, grain and dough. Taste is quite the same, some light citric hints in there aswell. Good body and quite a lot of carbonation. Very refreshing. Maybe it could have some more depht to it, but quite a nice blonde.

TET (2994) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2014
A hazy, light yellow beer with a quite big and white head. The nos is strongly fruitfull, tropical fruits, mangos and peaches, some pine needles and citrusfruits. Taste of light malts, not so fruitfull than aroma, still citrusfruits, some bitterness, too short. Light bodied together with a short taste makes this too thin to drink. Nice aroma but taste is too simple and short, easy to enjoy.

chinchill (4941) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 13, 2014
330ml bottle in NZ 4.5% ABV bb 29 Jan 2014 Pale, hazy golden-yellow body with a fine white head, and champagne-like visible carbonation . Feel: Light and thin body with medium-high carbonation. Aroma: sweet and fruity with some bready malt in the background. Flavor: lemony white bread with a touch of spicy hops. O: A poor imitation of the original Anchor Steam. Not bad but not worth seeking out.

Hazy straw, some light fruit, mellow malt, light fruity hop, vague wheaty character. Balanced but quite mild.

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a light hazy yellow colour with a white head that diminishing. Sweet aroma, light malts and light fruits. Flavor has more fruity notes, pineapple and floral. Light bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled (thanks laiti!). Slightly hazy golden colour, mediumsized white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is nicely floral with some mild nectary and fruity notes to it. Flavour is wheat, some floral notes as well as some nice resiny notes to it. Nice mellow bitterness in the finish. Good brew!
