Hairy Goat is a copper coloured English style India Pale Ale with a strong grapefruit, passion fruit and peach aroma coupled with a well balanced hop and malt flavour. It has a medium to high level of bitterness and has been crafted for the connoisseur of full flavoured hoppy beers.
Enjoy as an aperitif as the bitterness will stimulate the appetite. Great with Thai, Indian or any boldly spiced dishes. Enhances flavours of Duck, Goose, Horse, Moose & Bear. Works well with strong flavoured cheeses such as Colby, Blue, Parmesan & mature Cheddar. Also washes down the flavours of gone off cheeses.
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal, Wheat
Hops: Chinook and Wilamette

Laatste dag in Ierland.. Troebel oranje, dun schuim. Ruikt hoppig, maar niet super. Smaakt prima, maar niet bijzonder voor een ipa.

Cask version, dry-hopped with Cascade. Draught at the Beirhaus. Cloudy amber with decent lacing. The dry hopping is very noticeable with nice citrus. Body is a little light, but good bitter finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden-orange with medium creamy beige head. The aroma has notes of ripe fruits, cookies, butterscotch and some citrus. Watery and dry flavor with notes of butterscotch, some graininess, a bit salty with some herbs. Moderate carbonation, medium-bodied.

50cl Bottle - pours amber with white head. Aroma - grass/fruit aroma with bread. Taste - caramel from malty - citrus from hops. Decent, well rounded. Reminiscent of an English bitter rather than an IPA.

DSG (14764) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 17, 2015
Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Tom L. Hay deep golden. Aroma of chalky malt, minerals and some floral/earthy/citric hops. Sweetish flavor with chalky malt, a bit of minerals, and a bitterish finish with some hops. Medium-bodied.

Padchenko (351) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUL 22, 2015
Pours amber/orange with a thick white head that is retained. Medium carbonation. Hoppy and barley flavoured, with some slight fruitiness in the mouth, but not as bitter as you’d expect for an IPA, and it 4.5% it’s weaker than you’d expect for an IPA. That said it is tasty and very drinkable, and in a way quite light-bodied.
