Sweet honey aroma with some notes of dry fruits. Amber in color with an off-white head.
Notes: On tap at the pub during GABF week ’15. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 10, 2012
On tap at the Vine Street Pub and server in a tulip (or was it a snifter?). Dark reddish brown with a scant head. Smells spicy and a little wine-like but i get that from dubbels for some odd reason. The flavor was nice, a bit of raisins and a hint of astringency from the alcohol. Overall, not too shabby and I’d probably order another one if I saw it again.

Tap @ Vine Street during Belgian month. Reddish brown appearance with a foamy, light brown head that dissipates pretty quickly. Dark candy sugar, caramel, dark chocolate, pepper, light banana/clove, sweet caramelized malty aroma. Pretty sweet yet not exactly cloying, dark candy sugar, caramel/toffee malty, slightly floral hoppy flavor. A touch syrupy. Not bad but nothing too excellent either. notalush (5955) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Tap at Vine Street - hazy plum color - nose of mild oxidation and dusty, earthy character, light esters, peppery phenols - fairly overpowering peppery/spicy phenols in the flavor make it a bit abrasive - fairly dry, with some general earthy funk to it that adds a nice depth - dry, unsweetened stone fruits - dusty basement, oxidation - very spicy finish - some nice attributes, but those phenols need to be dialed back. onceblind (10864) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 22, 2011
On tap @ Vine Street Brewpub. Deep clear amber, small tight head. Aroma of bananas, pale malt, and general earthiness. Taste was much the same; banana esters, some clean pale malt with cereal grain tones, ending in a slightly Belgian funk dryness. Quite interesting, but not something I would like a whole glass of.
