Quayles personal favorite. If it’s good enough for Quayle, It’s good enough for me. Great beer. Got a couple growlers of this stuff after drinking a few pints. It was a very very good beer. Best thing invented since motarized tie racks. onceblind (9442) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2012
Tap at Vine st. Clear mahogany red with a light khaki head. Amazing amber aroma of caramel, gentle toffee, gentle earthiness, and a light grassy bitterness. Taste was smooth, complex, medium bodied but full flavored. Toffee, lots of caramel, candy sugar, an earthy bitterness, and resoundingly balanced for a sweet-ish amber. Not hoppy, but just bitter enough. Pure delight. luckygirl (1223) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 15, 2006
Draught at the Southern Sun. 8 oz sample. Beer was a medium, hazy-brown color with an average-to-large, creamy, white, mostly lasting head. The aroma was really agreeable—and while it wasn’t flashy, it was darn engaging. Toasty and fruity. Malty with moderate notes of toasted grain, caramel; Hoppy with moderate notes of green grass and green tea; Yeasty with trace note of basement and a light note of dough; Moderate miscellaneous notes of peach, vanilla and wood. The flavor was moderately sweet, lightly acidic with a long, tingly, lightly acidic finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was softer an average. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 21, 2011
On tap @ MS Boulder. Red orange appeaance with an orange/tan head. Sweet, medium citrus, light piney, fairly pale malty nose. Lemon/light grapefruit, nice full pale malty, mild to medium hoppy flavor. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 14, 2012
On tap at Vine Street Pub. Pour is clear amber with an off-white head and decent lacing. Perfumey, light roast, citrus, a touch of lemon, and biscuit in the aroma. Taste is light citrus, cereal, lemon, and biscuit with a light bitter finish. There is something about this beer that is pretty tasty but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Medium body with high carbonation . Pretty nice amber.
