Very fresh and bright, exactly what you’d expect out of an American Pale ale. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2009
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of floral, citrus, orange, and light pine. Flavor of caramel, nuts, light roasted malt, and hops (grass, pine) with moderate bitterness in the finish. tjthresh (1871) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - DEC 16, 2008
On tap at Southern Sun. Pours dark red working on brown. I am not quite sure this beer delivers as advertised. More hops? This is one of the more balanced beers I have ever had. That said, there is a fruity nose. I smell grapes. There is a light chocolate not to go along with some toasty notes. Medium body and average carbonation, ho hum. Not even really all that bitter. I would call this a beginner beer. BlackForestCO (978) - Aurora, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2008
Growler from brewery. Poured a deep copper-amber color with a thick off-white head that left good lacing. Aroma of floral, piny hops with some light undertones of citric fruit. Smooth, lightly malty entry with some light caramel that transitions into a soft, piny hoppiness with a hint of fruitiness. Moderate carbonation, decent mouthfeel. All around, solid APA that I would probably drink a decent amount of if I lived in Boulder, but thank god I am not a liberal hippie scum that infest the town. joergen (28102) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2008

Draught at Mountain Sun in Boulder. Clear amber - white head. Grassy, turtle, pine, rosen leaves, hoppy, light malty, light sweet notes, high hoppy, light woody notes, spicy, amber malts.... Nice. 3fourths (9341) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 27, 2008
UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 Draft at Southern Sun. Dark rusty red, unfiltered. Mild and mellow sweet cherry scented malt nose, some notes of fruit cocktail and maraschino cherries along with a sweetened, syrupy cedar wood note. Mellow texture, but still has some crusty, bready malts throughout... overall tends to be sweet from start to finish, with some sugary wood and tea leaves. Hop presence is noticeable but subdued... faint bitterness but does has some grapefruit notes that play well with the cherry/wood malt character. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2008
Draft at Mountain Sun, Boulder, CO, 8/13/08. Pours red with off-white head. Nose is all hops, pine, citrus, and danktasticness. Taste is caramel backbone with mild bitter and a good amount of piny hop flavor. Not too terribly bad. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - AUG 1, 2008
This beer is very sessionable and so well balanced, and goes with just about everything on their menu. I mean this is really impressive. Fruity citrus hops in the nose, with a bit of black tea and a medium bodied toffee/caramel maltiness, with some herbal hoppiness coming through to balance the malty sweetness in the finish.
