3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is quite sweet, and roast y as expected.. Blackish color. Super smooth on the palate. Sweet creamy flavor (I suspect from the lactose). Very easy drinking!
Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF
On nitro tap at Vine Street Pub. Brown/black appearance with a lacy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel malt, light coffee, milk sugar and a hint of roast. Similar flavor, smooth, soft and creamy, a little thin on the palate. Not bad overall. Iphonephan (7011) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - FEB 15, 2014
On draft at the brewpub in Boulder CO. Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt nose. Some tobacco flavors along with cocoa. Light to medium bodied. Light bitter roast finish. onceblind (9858) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2012
Nitro tap at Vine st. Black with a thin light khaki head, lots of lacing. Has a very light aroma reminiscent of donut dough, cream, and light sugar. Taste is light bodied as well as mild, kind of a letdown. Smooth dark sweetness that disappointingly lacks chocolate tones, but also has a candy-like cream tone to it. It’s sweet throughout but too long to be cloying. arminjewell (9688) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Pour on tap at Vine St, pour is dark brown with tan head, aroma brought notes of caramel, chocolate, lots of lactose and roasted notes in there as well. Taste is big lactose and roasted notes, kinda drowns out but has notes of chocolate, coffee, and toffee. Interesting for sure.

Nitro at Vine Street - I never really tasted a cream stout that actually tasted like sweet cream before...until now - way too sweet and milky, reminding me a bit of condensed milk - a bit of roasted malt, but nothing cuts he sweetness enough - a rare weak stout from these guys. cubs (10640) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 24, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2012 Tap @ Vine Street location. Thick black appearance with a fairly creamy brown head. Sweet milky, roasted malty nose. The milk sugar is fairly strong and makes the body pretty creamy. Somewhat dull stout flavor with some bitterness. Too milky for my taste. Pours a deep black with a nice olive-green head. Aroma is smoky- almost peaty- chocolate. Flavor is a funky raisin/smoked malt combo that kinda works but seems awkward. Slightly chunky on the tongue but meh, not quite. Too weird and watery.
Draught. Black with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, roast, nuts, vanilla and chocolate. Flavor of roasted chocolate and coffee, vanilla and coconut. Kind of sweet and weird but interesting. A good cream stout, this just isn’t my thing. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 26, 2010
(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a small brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, lactose, and nuts. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, light pine, toasted grains, and lactose with a somewhat bitter finish.
