Draught at Vine Street in Autumn 2011: Unpleasant nose of clover honey, DMS, mild sulfur, and lifeless papery malt. Underlying notes of flowers, melon, peppery alcohol, and apricot. Fuzzy and prickly carbonation. Sweetly malty and cloying from the get-go, with a sloppy mixture of honey-soaked poundcake and astringently medicinal alcohol. Merely a trace of flowers and melon exude from the considerably dull hoppiness. Wafery malt compounds the sweetness as the more finely defined dabs of cracker remain buried within the unyielding sugars. Vague herbal brightness and a salty bitterness exudes at the core, but fails to overcome the sweetness. Oppressively sweet Turkish apricot effect from the collision of hops and residual sweetness. Finishes with sturdy poundcake flavors and ensuing leafy hop abrasiveness which stifles the softer floral undertones. While there are some nice examples of high-gravity pils, this isn’t one of them. Rather sweet, dull, alcoholic and muddled. Meh.
Fruity floral and soft grassy nose malt is toasted with some medium pale sweetness and a touch of bread. Pours golden Amber thin white head. Flavor a of floral fruity hops soft grass clippings toasted malt with medium sweetness. Nice carbonation with some lingering floral bitterness. Cool beer.

Draft. Lightly hazed amber with a creamy white head. Mild aroma of amber and pale malt with some light peach and apricot esters. A little floral and lemony which is expected with Hallertau, maybe not so much Saaz but what do I know. Sweet, hoppy and bitter with a full body. Pale malt is more syrupy and chewy than is it bready or biscuity. Goopy and heavy handed but mostly clean and drinkable. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Tap @ Vine Street. Pours a clear, light orange appearance with a white head. Greeny, herbal, grassy, earthy aroma. Somewhat dull lemon fruity, very floral, spicy hoppy, grassy, straw flavor. Pretty strong in alcohol but I guess that’s what I should expect from this dumb style.
