Draft at the pub. Now this, my friends is a beer. Huge flavors. Well balanced. Awesome. Top 10 beer of the week. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2009
on tap at the Brewpub in Boulder on 9/25/09... pours a deep black with a nice tan head... very smooth big body over the palate with big roasted malts and a big nut presence... pretty solid Imp Stout but fairly one dimensional. BeerandBlues2 (13825) - Escondido, California, USA - SEP 30, 2009
Draught. Pours black with an average, fizzy light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, nutty), light hop (herbs), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of dates and brown sugar. Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. alagnak (468) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - SEP 23, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. Roasted cocoa nibs on the nose, taste is roasty coffee upfront, fades to a nice cherry/hazelnut thing in the middle and then just kind of fades away. A lot like liquid Nutella. Nothing overly amazing or interesting, just Straightforward good beer 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 7, 2009
Draft. Dense, oily black body with a creme brule dark brown colored head. Pretty much nails all the standard characteristics of good imperial stout - roast, medium to good level attenuation, oily, rich body - medium hop presence, chocolate and cocoa flavored dense malts - but it doesn’t really stand out. Seems very neutral on the tongue, quiet, mild, etc., which I usually go for but I think this one is a little too quiet. Easy to drink, easy to enjoy, but it’s not a stout that makes you get into it and think about it.

On tap at PP carlsbad. Black pour. Very sweet and malty, with milk chocolate, plums, and hoppy bitterness. Thick mouthfeel. Pretty decent Imp stout. That1Guy (2237) - Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2009
Crushed with Jakebra at BSAF. Yes, this beer believes in nothing...not to mention aroma, flavor, body. I just hope it won’t cut off my johnson. Drinkable, but a sour finish kills whatever may have been there. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 8, 2008
Tap at Strong Ale 2008. Pours black with a light brown ring. Nose is rich and sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and nice with a big hop bitter undertone. Overall ok and interesting.
