Sampled at GABF 2105. In the sample glass red with a white head. Nose of malts. Some floral hops. Medium body. Flavor is mostly malts with a bitter finish. Not a show stopper, but beats the heck of of Fat Tire.

Rich red ale with a hint of malt at the end. The palate is solid and even gives a little bite on the back end.

Tap @ vine street. Perfect color, pours rich red like liquid Georgia clay. Aroma is soft and sweet, which disguises the hops and bitterness which is he highlight of the beer. Finish is too sweet for me and I'm not a red fan, but this is hoppy enough while true to class to be worth checking out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

onceblind (9442) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Tap at Southern Sun. Slightly cloudy deep reddish amber with a thin laceful cap. Sticky sweet nose of caramel and roasted toffee, and a whiff of black pepper. The flavor is rich and large, but simplistic and sweet. Some nearly cloying caramel and toffee malt combine with not enough peppery and herbal hops. Too sweet and with a weird sugary tone on the middle, finishing with grainy cereal sweetness.

thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2011
(Draught) rich deep garnet, few bubbles. Nose of sweaty socks, pine, grapefruit. Taste of umami, sweet toasty caramel, and a bit syrupy sweet. A bit under-carbonated and syrupy on the palate.

Ratman197 (14692) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2010
On tap at Southern Sun poured a clear dark reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, tangerine, pink grapefruit, pine and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, grapefruit, pine, earthiness and light tangerine with a smooth dry lingering citrus finish.

swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2010
GABF 2010, amber pour, lots of caramel malts. Malts dominate in this brew. underlaying bitterness. 7.8 pretty well hidden. Good for the style.
