Tap @ Vine Street. Clear black, thin tan head. Extremely strong bourbon and caramel syrup aroma. Taste is very boozy and sweet, really overwhelming. Lots of heat from alcohol in the initial taste, but the finish is surprisingly smooth. Confusing beer. Less bourbon may have allowed other flavors to shine through. onceblind (9687) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2012
Tap at Vine. Clear black with no head. Smells like oak bourbon syrup, with a heavy dose of bitter roasted dark chocolate. Taste was huge and full. Lots of boozy whiskey tones throughout, with a big oak emphasis on the finish. In the middle there’s some roasty dark malts and mild vanilla tones, but the booziness is a little overpowering and the totally overwhelms at the end with all that oak. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Tap @ Vine Street. Deep brown appearance with a brown head. Fairly hot whiskey, oaky, roasty dark malty, light anise aroma. Rich, burnt chocolate malty, organic, bitter hoppy, fairly boozy whiskey, chocolate flavor.
