Tap at Vine Street. Pours hazy orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine, resin, and grapefruit hops with mango and pineapple fruity esters with light biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with light supporting malt, tropical fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pretty darn tasty. 5th sample. I like this one more than the Illusion English IPA. Both are good, but the extra hop aroma and malt body seal the deal on this one for me. Now let’s see how FYIpa stacks up...

On tap at Vine Street poured a hazy golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, grapefruit, pine and light orange zest. Palae was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, pine and light earthiness with a smooth dry bitter lingering pine finish.

Tap at Vine Street - lightly hazy gold with a pillowy head - light sweetness in the nose, but tons of grassy, herbal, citric hop notes to balance -creamy.texture in the mouth - a bit.sweet, but the sweetness is clean, and the.hops provide a bright acidity that balances well - hops provide assertive flavors of herbs, flowers, citrus, pine - but they never become abrasive, perhaps because of the sweetness - a damn fine IPA.

On tap at Vine Street Pub, this was great! bright yellow orange color. The smell was glorious hops, citrus fruits, hint of pine, just great. the flavor was nice and bitter with more hoppiness but could not quite match the smell which was the best part. If Mountain Sun is smart they will make this a regular beer because this was a winner. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 04-29-2012 04:30:38
