COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a rich, robust porter, cleverly crafted to integrate the aromas and flavors of espresso coffee malt and bitter-sweet chocolate malt. Inspired by owner Brendan Moylans’ daughter Chelsea, this is an American-Irish Style Porter that dark beer drinkers will love

On tap @ the brewpub during RateBeer weekend. Reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Chocolate, caramel, smoke, vanilla, and heavy chocolate in the aroma. Mint and rich chocolate in the mouth. Thin body, moderately sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Ok.

Bottle 65 cl from Lekkerbier. Brown, thick off white head. Aroma has chocolate, some coffee also and roasted malts. malty taste, some choco again, maybe a bit oxidized, it’s a bit empty. Medium carbonation. Short to medium finish, it’s a fair beer but maybe a bit oxidized. (tht 24-10-2015, drank 12-2-2016)

22 oz. bottle. Pours deep brown-black with a 4x humongous spongy foam that takes an annoying amount of time to settle. Nose is cocoa, caramel, oats and a touch of tart berry. Tastes of dry cocoa, lactose and berry with touches of caramel, light ash and espresso. Near-medium body has a little too much fizz. Nicely balanced with a dry-roasty finish. Good beer but over-carbonated for my tastes.

Smagt til ølsmagning i butik Aroma. Bitter bitter lakrids og chokolade. God til en sød dessert.

Pours nice deep brown with clingy cream head. Aroma of mocha and vanilla. Then the taste hints of choc and coffee but a funky floral fruitiness that detracts from the essense of a porter. Some malt sweetness returns at the finish but the florally fruitiness never goes away

The coffee/chocolate flavors are very subtle...I even get a bit if a sour taste. It’s a nice looking porter though seems a bit watered.

Porter piuttosto classica, caffettosa e tostata come atteso, con una parvenza lattiginosa al palato che non guasta... se fosse una Stout ricorderebbe una Oatmeal.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 14.09.15. Almost ebony. Small pale brown head. Aroma and taste of roasted barley, vanilla and smole. Medium bitterness. Low carbonation. Perhaps slightly waterish. Fine aftertaste.
