Bottle. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Aromas of coffee, milk chocolate, and some roasted malts. Flavors of deeply roast malts, chocolate, and some coffee and ash. Body and carbonation was good. Nice flavorful porter. GIJOE (1249) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Pours black with a thick, foamy head that stays long. Nose is malty with notes of sweet Mexican chocolate. Taste is sweet. Medium body, lively carbonation, toffee finish. Pretty good brew.

Strange that with this name this comes out of California! Bottle, dark, clear, slight reddish highlights. Very chocolaty but with some vegetable notes. Clean start to it, with chocolate, then vegetables, then coffee. Odd, okay, not great. Petkus331 (389) - Redford, Michigan, USA - JAN 16, 2014
A nice acidic aroma of apple with milk chocolate and some roasty malt. Appearance is a nearly opaque dark brown with light tan head and some curtains. Taste is similar to a dark Belgian with apple, raisin, and cantaloupe fruit tied in with the port character of coffee-ish roast malt. Palate is standard for a porter. Overall, this was surprisingly good, my first brew from this brewery. firstsip (733) - Michigan, USA - JAN 16, 2014
From bottle. Got for a tremendous $1.99. Dark black and tan head lingering throughout. Nose of dark fruits and dark roast coffee. Tastes of strong coffee, roasted malt, and dark fruits of raisins and faint dark cherry.

A nice well balanced and pleasantly roasted portrr with hints of vanilla, cocoa and used coffee grounds. Mild appearance with a thin foamy beige head and dark black body. Nice heavy body with moderate roasted palate. DuffMan (10549) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 3, 2014
Bottle, shared with Ian. Very dark brown with a tan head that shows good retention. A roast-rich porter, very roasty, with undertones of dark fruits, finishing with an fruity acidity and burnt bitterness. Very nice, classic porter. More UK than US in style. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 27, 2013
draft at Coles, creamy black pour with good lacing & white head. chocolate, roasted maltiness with light coffee. good porter Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2013
On nitro at Cole’s. Decent drinking creamy not complex and maybe not need to be. Some chocolate and licorice. Black with a big head. reebtogi (6326) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 22, 2013
650ml bottle pours black in color with a 2 finger head that settles slowly and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains with dark chocolate and hints of coffee. Taste is a roasted grain and coffee bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied with carbonation typical for the style. A well done porter that I recommend for others to sample.
