This strong Moylan's brew is what keeps those Irish eyes a smiling. Its deep amber radiance has been described by our brewer as the most visually enticing beer. This ale's rich malty flavor, full body, invigorating aroma, and expansive finish empower it to be extremely satisfying and repeatedly enjoyed. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are allied to provide the 1.070 beginning specific gravity, while Fuggle and Liberty hops balance this sweetness. A classic rich and malty ale from Ireland. Unlike most "want-to-be" red ales, Moylan's red has a rich caramel character balanced with a low hop profile.

Why does Moylans need to call this an Irish style red ale. I mean Moylans is Irish no? Thats like Budweiser calling bud light an American style shit beer. Duh! This is an amber brew, or red as the Irish style Irish call it. The head is weak. The aroma is sweet an grainy. The taste is like livestock feed, to get them to eat grain which is not part of their natural diet. I wouldnt drink this under any circumstances, unless youre in high school, and cant buy beer yet,.. maybe.

Copper body with a loose white head. Smells of cereal and dust. Full body with the taste of honey cereal and a bit of something berry like. A decent non offensive sipper.

Draft at the brewery, served in a flight. Pours a clear darkish gold with a thin white ring for a head. Not red, to be sure. Notes of cereal and sweet malts, honey, sugars, and Juicyfruit gum. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a sweet, flat mouthfeel. No depth in any sense.

Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark amber, creamy tanned head. Nose is old mold & herbal weeds. Taste is weird doughy corn, moldy yeast, paper, sugar, dough, herbal, big weird dough. Moldy doughy yeast body. Possibly past prime, excessive yeast, paper notes, messy profile. Not a fan.
