Sampled in 2011 from backlog notes. Pours reddish brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet apple brandy, caramel, dark fruits, lightly toasted malts. The flavor is more sweet apple brandy, caramel, toasted malts, just a hint of a buttery note bigger body, more booze than the base beer, we just donít see this stuff back home fresh if at all.

"subtleties are out the window in this bigger boozier version of Kilt Lifter. The apple brandy still shines, but the aroma is a little hotter. The flavor is not, but the complexities are replaced slightly by strength. darker and thicker as well, still quite good, just not AS good."

On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering off white head . Aromas of diacytal, carmel, fruittiness, light brandy and light oak. Palte was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of diacytal, carmel, apple and light oak with a crisp dry lingering buttery finish.

Tap at papago. Brown pour with little head. Aroma of caramel, over-ripe apples and brandy. Flavor is too sweet and fruity, with a big alcohol bite. Interesting, but not great.

Meh. The apple flavor was just too overpowering for this to be good. Flavors were all over the place, hops were way overbalanced, body was thin and fragile and could not stand up to the top-heavy flavors at all. Brandy added some funkiness as well. Alcohol definitely present and contributed sickly-sweet off-flavors in the aftertaste. Props for originality, but the beer is not worth the effort.

On tap at Sugar Maple. Pours ruby red, thin off white head. Aroma has notes of sweet caramel apple, brandy, sweet toffee, some chocolate. Taste has nice caramel, toffee mixing with the apple and brandy notes, finishing with more brandy and a hint of booze. Wish the brandy mixed better with the beer, but it is delicious!

Dark garnet brown with no head. Huge chocolate caramel apple and alcohol aroma and taste. Enjoyable and big but not at subtle and complex as her little sister.
