Maybe I got a bad one, but this beer tastes a little like cardboard soaked in vinegar to me. It smells like a dog that just got a bath and is still wet. Fortunately the taste does not longer on the pallet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap and not just on Tap, On NITRO!!! As you all know, NITRO was the greatest of the American Gladiators in the classic 90s TV show. This beer was a treat and a good way to bring in 2011. It certainly beat New Years 1999 when I had to pee in a cat litter box b/c someone was hovered over the Oval Office for hours when I had to go.

Heady, over worked beer with a bitter aftertaste, basement aromas, woody, skunky, leather

Pitch black with a decent light brown head. Roasted, somewhat sour aroma. Medium bodied with a slightly sweet, roasted flavor. Finishes like a medium roast coffee. Overall a very good and easy drinking stout.

Aroma of hops, black with a light brown head that dissipated rather quickly. Flavors of Roasted hops, and coffee. It was a bit lighter than expected, but overall it would make a good session stout.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2014 Caramel, chocolate, vanilla, roasty, and coffee malt tones. Pretty thin and watery. Palatable. Pretty tasty, but not my favorite. Lacks depth.

Pours a dark brown/black with a cloudy tan head. Sweet caramel/hops and roasted coffee in the nose. Sweet malt at first in the flavor with a turn to heavy roasted dry finish with just enough carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2008 Bottle purchased from Bevmo. Pours very dark with a nice creamy tan head which quickly dissipates. The aroma of roasted malt is quite evident. Prominent flavors of bittersweet chocolate and roasted nuts. Small amount of carbonation. Light texture, but smooth with a dry finish. I enjoyed this. Good Irish stout. Would definitely go for more.

650 ml bottle. Pours dark mahogany almost black with a nice thick tan head that quickly dissipates. There’s a little sourness to the aroma - other than coffee, roasted malts and charcoal. Thin and watery palate with soft carbonation and a vague bitterness in the finish. Flavor is hardly present at first, and then only a little smoke and peat. I’m not really sure what a good dry stout should be like, but this beer is very thin in my opinion. Maybe it’s infected!?
